On Being New & Light At The End
Hm, well it has been a while since you used me on the other place - Livejournal, wasn't it? - and honestly I was started to think I was not especially important to you, which is fine, I can find things to do myself, but this sudden interest in the wake of this celebration for the Doctor is rather a little sudden, isn't it? I suppose we might find some friends of mine, or enemies for that matter. But I imagine I can do without excessive problems if possible. I just want to help who I can.
Now, I know you listened to that Light at the End story lately...
And yes, it was terrible what happened to poor Mr Dovie, that and his family, and it was the Master all over again. Different looking, before he took my father, it seems. And all those other Doctors, well at least they put a stop to him. An universe without the Doctor existing would be horrible, so I'm glad me and my Doctor managed to do our part. Though technically I won't have remembered any of it, which I suppose would make it a temporal paradox, yes? I'm quite used to those sorts of things already.
So I am curious what you're going to do with me. You didn't seem to let me go anywhere last time. Perhaps you should? I know you're busy searching for suitable employment and learning to pilot the human automobiles but surely you can be productive enough to find time for study and research on here? I don't mean to sound rude but I think you can manage it, I believe in you.

Yes. You were trying to erase the Doctor from time. Eight times over, I think.

Well you did resemble a walking skeleton, you hardly seemed to be in the right frame for prospective sanity.

Oh, one of those moments. I hate them, really I do. At least my current problems are useful.

You didn't seem to have much of a choice back then.

[Turlough, you wrecked a car in the first five minutes we saw you. You can't talk.]

He seems to be rather stable, but he is still prone to making mistakes, I believe.

I see, so it is for the fun of it then? I have seen many people in piles of their automobiles when we were in Amsterdam, waiting at those red lights. They did not appear to be having much fun. Perhaps it is a case by case basis.

Possibly, human settlements are filled with all sorts of interesting locations and features. I suppose I would like to do a little study of one at some point.

Gonna assume pre ES or major feels.
cool with me :|b
Oh, I don't know. She's terribly busy talking over keeping on task most of the time. It's easy to lose track with all that complication. [ And he doesn't want to go around saying openly kind things about her, because they somehow keep a peace in the middle of all their arguing. If she ever heard him say something nice she'd probably tease him for the rest of time and space. It's a little lucky to his mind that Tegan's never around here to pick up on these sorts of things (but he'd be happy to see her). So, a relatively indifferent shrug. ] I suppose she usually manages to come through.
:)
It's just the way she is, Adric, you know that, and she's been more than helpful in the past. Even if she doesn't want to be in the TARDIS. She just needs a little motivation. Like you do at times. And even me and the Doctor.

Hello, Nyssa.

Anyway, it's good to see you again, I like your new regeneration. [Though she'll always have a soft spot for Cricket and Celery.]

[ Fixing his bowtie yes. Nyssa approved - score! ]
I like it too, quite a lot.
[ And does she mind a hug? Because she's getting one. ]

[ Kiss on the forehead too. ]
Lots.

Thank you Doctor, and I missed you too. I'm glad you have other people to travel with, I would be sad to see you alone in the TARDIS. I hope it's working better than when I was travelling with you.
no subject
Oh, she's working just fine. Brilliantly. Few hiccups from time to time, of course, but not even she's perfect.
[ Or he, for that matter, but shhh. ]
no subject
Sounds much the same as when I travelled with you, then. But I am glad to hear you have more control over proceedings.
[No one is perfect, not even Nyssa. Though she is the type to always try her best.]

A bit! Not that she was that bad.
no subject
..well, I was going to say Adric's as well. [Long pause. She imagines the Doctor still hasn't gotten over what happened to Adric.]
no subject
Didn't have much of a choice, I was rather stuck with you lot.
Besides, I liked all the life in the TARDIS.
no subject
Stuck? Well I certainly enjoyed our adventures together. You... You were like a second family to me. Especially after what happened to Traken. [The Master killing her father and wearing his body like a skin and erasing an entire sector of space including her home world. You know, stuff like that. Thankfully Nyssa has never been the vengeful type.]
no subject
I know. I felt the same.
