So mun heard there may be a Murder, She Wrote reboot in the works....
Really, mun, I'm quite flattered you think so highly of me. But I do think you should give this new version a chance before dismissing it so easily.
And who knows? You may even like it.
And who knows? You may even like it.

Yeah! I think she should be happy that there's enough interest to wanna make a reboot of your show. I mean of course there is. The way my mun--
[There's some hesitance when she says the word. Not used to the whole concept yet but she's trying!]--is reacting to the word, she thinks there should always be interest in your show.

How sweet of you to say. Or, rather, for your mun to say.

Personally I think it's great? I mean! You must be happy with it since that sounds like good news but I never... heard of your... show before where I am. [She shrinks a bit into herself for a brief second after that admission but it wouldn't be good to lie about knowing this show before she continues to talk. Springing back to liveliness and breathless chatter.] I'm sure it was a neat show if it has attention and all like my mun thought and you seem nice and I would have loved to watch it! But I guess it wasn't on the approved list of shows we could get from our families and stuff.

[Although, perhaps, she could imagine that some would want to keep their younger members away from all that death and minor violence occasionally shown, she would hardly have placed a show such as her own on a disapproving list.]

... Ummm. At my school we're not allowed to watch things that depict any graphic or dramatic form of violence, harm, nudity and prejudice in a way that isn't educational. Since it could upset or distress a student. [She sounds like she's reciting something out of a book with her bored/vaguely annoyed expression.] Because of that our parents can't send us a lot of things. My parents send me documentaries and stuff about cooking and bodies of ocean.

But you won't know that for sure unless you give the new version a chance.

True. There is something to said for the classics. But I've never been a believer in the idea of absolute perfection. Things can always be improved upon.

[Conan wondered if that had been a little too cute.]

That's mighty ambitious for a young boy your age.
You said your Uncle is a police detective?
no subject
And he isn't a police detective. He's a private detective.
no subject
I see.
You must enjoy that. Getting to live with a real detective. Does he ever tell you about any of his cases?
no subject
[And also because murder cases just seemed to happen wherever Conan went.]

[...and perhaps more than a little irresponsible. What if there was danger? Then again, from the sounds of things, "Uncle" Kogoro was a single father who potentially had no other choice at times than to bring the children along rather than leave them all alone.]
Any particular favorites?

Murder? Oh, good heavens, when you told me he brought you along on his cases, I thought you were talking about missing persons. Or perhaps some small investigative matter. But murder?

I can imagine what experiencing something like that must be like. [No, really. She was practically a murder magnet herself.
Except no nekkid shadow people committing them where she comes from]no subject
[No, Conan did not realize that this was not a normal attitude for a child to have]
no subject
But weren't you frightened?

The...danger?
no subject
[Not that he bothered to actually stay in safe areas in that situation.]
no subject
Where exactly do you live again?
no subject
Beika City in Tokyo.
no subject
They must respond awfully quickly over there if you don't even have time to feel afraid. You must be a very brave young boy.

If you were there when the crime was committed, but the police weren't, then the criminal would logically still be there, am I correct?

[BECAUSE WHAT WERE THE CHANCES OF THAT HAPPENING, AMIRIGHT?]
