Your villain, you say? After all these months with nary a hello, you turn up and make the assumption that I would practice wide-scale necromancy? What must you think of me?

I thought by now you might know better than to use the term 'villain', at least. Nothing is done for evil's sake. Perhaps this antagonist of yours has a very important greater good -- perhaps he or she has seen only horrors beyond the veil. Perhaps all a soul is is energy -- ah, look, and I've come full circle, haven't I. How delightfully clever.

No, you're right. The jump to villain seems just--really--preposterous.

Not to mention almost criminally oversimplified. Really, it's all very much a matter of perspective.
