[It takes Daisuke a moment before it clicks. He reaches out and puts his hand on Ken's shoulder. He doesn't say anything else. He knows how Ken feels about everything.]

[Ken looks slightly startled at the sudden change, but he gives the other a small smile.]

Daisuke-kun.

[He looks away after a moment.]

You and Wormmon keep telling me that and I know I'm not the Kaiser anymore, I guess it's just... taking a little longer to actually believe it.

[But then he looks at the other.]

But that's why I have you, right? To keep reminding me.

[Daisuke smiles. It's a soft smile. He gives Ken's shoulder a squeeze and nods.]

You bet. That's what best friends are for. And if you go too deep down, I'll slap you out of it.

[With that reminder, Ken raises a hand and rubs his cheek ruefully.]

I don't doubt that.

[Daisuke feels bad when he has to do it but sometimes it seems like the only way to get through to Ken at times.]

She's thinking of all the trouble Motomiya and I can get into, apparently.

Not yet, but depending on how things go, he might be.

[Which left Ken unsure of how to feel. He was sad, because he certainly didn't want to take anyone away from the others or their partner, but at the same time, he had been alone for seven months. It was confusing to him, to say the least.]

Oh, so his mun is sending him where you are.

[Takeru doesn't know how to feel about this either. But he's an optimist and he cares for his friends. One thing he knows about these worlds is that having a friend is always better.]

I think that's good. [He smiles to stress this.] We should always stick together, be it in the Digital World or some other world.

I don't know, I don't want to take him away from V-mon and everyone else...

I don't think you are. You shouldn't worry about that. You also need Daisuke-kun inasmuch as we need him. And if I'm not mistaken, time stops in our world when we're brought to any of these worlds, right? [Unlike in the Digital World.] If that's so, it's as if he never left. You won't be taking him away from any of us if that's the case, Ichijouji-kun.

[Hey. He got the Crest of Kindness for a reason.]

It's alright to worry. It shows you care, after all. But, sometimes, worrying takes your eyes off from all the good things that might happen.

[He gives his friend's shoulder a gentle squeeze.]

Don't worry, everything's going to be fine. Especially now that there's a chance Daisuke-kun will be with you. [He does have a way with performing the impossible.]

Yes. Lelouch-san; his younger sister, Nunnally-san; their friend, Suzaku-san; and two other boys, Alma-san and Yu-san. Plus all the pets.

Ah, you guys must be living in a huge house, then. It's good to know they took you in.

It's a mansion, yes.

I was content staying in the Welcome House, but Lelouch-san offered to let me stay with them. I don't think he likes kids being on their own there.

Well, I know he's one of the more powerful in the city when it comes to Bending. He runs a school to teach all the new people when they first arrive.

Oh, no, it's.... well, it's kind of like creating something out of nothing. You sort of have to bend reality, I guess, in order to create it.

You can do a lot of interesting things with it - Lelouch-san Bended me a soccer field for example.
