Wondering about
towerofanimus...
I never had the chance to be a mother. I would like to try. He deserves a chance; a real chance and not one that is tainted by experiments.
( She was once a proud scientist. No more. )
Sephiroth... I'm sorry.
( She was once a proud scientist. No more. )
Sephiroth... I'm sorry.

Sephiroth killed me.

[ It's not everyday that Elarian gets to be graced by such a lovely woman but she looks a tad despondent, which honestly piques his curiosity. ]
One could hardly believe you to be a mother at such a tender age! You look no older and me.
[ And he's just seventeen! ]
Tell me, whatever is a matter? You clearly seem distressed and in need of a new friend.
[ He smiles. ]

It may surprise you even more to know my son is a full grown man. Time works oddly in these places.
( His offer catches her off-guard and she softens. )
I dare not burden you with my past, but thank you for the offer.
no subject
A full grown man, you say? But you're still a maiden!
[ He chuckles somewhat. ]
Aye, I suppose you've been blessed by Hydaelyn herself to possess eternal youth.
[ Elarian smile fades a little but it was still somewhat there. ]
You are more than welcome, my lady.
no subject
( Not that she knows that outside of Dear Mun. )
Hydaelyn? Is she a goddess?
( Lucrecia looks like she wants to tell him, but she stops herself. )
Everyone has regrets. Mine are just...bigger.
no subject
[ A curiosity that would surely lead him to an untimely demise if he keeps flirting with Sephiroth's mother. ]
You don't know of Hydaelyn, my lady? She's the Goddess of the Crystal and the Bringer of Light. Her presence alone is what makes my world strive even during its hour of darkness.
[ He blinks his eyes owlishly. ]
That is most certainly true, but you're far too fair to have such regrets. Surely there's a way for you to make amends.

( The effects of Mako and experimentation have molded Sephiroth's form, however there are attributes that harken back to Lucrecia. )
I do not, but I am curious about her. ( She listens intently, nodding when he finishes. ) You are blessed to have her.
...there might be. The place my Mun is looking is the home of my son's...younger self. There is a chance I could...
( Start over. Try again. )
I want to be a real mother to him.

Surely this woman's son gets such odd features from his father. Even within his realm of Eorzea such features were quite rare if not unheard of; especially the silver hair. ]
I suppose your son took after his "father", yes?
[ He furrows his brows a little. How is he suppose to compete against some fellow with silver hair and striking green eyes? Hopefully this young mother is already divorce. ]
Then I urge you to go there! Don't pass this opportunity to be with your son if you can help it. Now is not the time to linger in self-pity, but rather to uplift your spirits!

Those experiments are...one of my regrets. ( She should have shielded him and protected him. She was a horrible mother. ) You're absolutely correct. I won't let the opportunity pass me by. Not this time.
no subject
I can...only imagine. [ He forces a smile to his face. ] Nevertheless, I wish you "Good Luck" on your endeavors.
I'm more than certain that you'll do what's necessary to correct what has been wronged. Your son shall thank you for it.
no subject
Thank you for the sentiment. ( Her cheeks pink and she looks away, bringing a hand to her lips. ) I don't deserve his thanks. I only want his happiness.

[ Elarian's cheerful smile from earlier returned once more. ]
Tell me, what is your name? I cannot believe we forgot to introduce ourselves.
no subject
( Her eyes widen and she smiles back. )
I'm Lucrecia Crescent.
no subject
[ He bows towards her elegantly. ]
It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance despite the somewhat troubling topic at hand.
[ The young scholar is all smiles now. It would seem that his ploy to cheer this poor damsel-in-distress has worked. ]
I'm Elarian Faelivrin, at your service.

You might be too late.

Because you're not his mother anymore.
Maybe if he wasn't from the future...before he found out the truth...
no subject
( She knows the truth and she will hold onto it. )
There is a much younger version of him there. There's...hope.
no subject
The world could always use some more of that. Just...be careful.
