on mining.
[Mir's looking a little more pensive than usual.
And that. Is an achievement. He's merely going to push his glasses up his nose a little, and then thumb at the bridge of his nose. His eyes are closed, and his ears are flat.]
... This is a far worse than the time you decided to see how silly I'd look in a pink robe riding a unicorn throughout Aleport. Worse than the time T'brohka stepped on my dust bunny, and worse judgement on your part than the time you decided to see if I would take to a Leatherworker role. Gods, the smell...
Chances of failure are probably, given variables such as back-breaking labour, no sense of elatement whatsoever at digging things up which I'm supposed to have according to the Guildmaster, blistered hands, Thanalan and the heat, daylight and presumably passing out with exhaustion are around 83%.
I'd really prefer just training under Redolent Rose, you understand...

It can't be helped that pink simply becomes you.
[ she has no room to talk, really. quite a bit of that pugilist gear had such bright, vivid, and often clashing colors. ]
I admit, I kind of want to see with my own eyes the Great Mir half stuck in a cliff side, mimicking his precious dust bunny. Will you start to hoard your ores as well?
no subject
I-
[No. No no no. There's a lot of shaking of the head, so much that he has to push up his glasses. Again!]
...I probably would get stuck on a cliff face, though. Highbridge, most likely.. but I don't think it'd be for ore. More likely than not, a gaggle of really, really angry yarzon.
[...among other things.]
Isn't mining more your thing? You seem...
[The type.
W-Whoops.]
....Never mind.
no subject
"You seem" what exactly?
[ can talk more about being bait for just about anything that moves later. ]
no subject
Not butch! Or muscular! Or dirty, or sweaty, or...
.... You seem C-capable? Physically-?
no subject
Oh, I see. It must come as quite a bit of a shock to know that not all Seekers fancy sand and the occasional wrestling of a drake with naught but out own bare hands.
Allow me to beg for forgiveness, not meeting such high expectations and the like.
[ she's not really mad or anything. just being a little shit and watching Mir squirm. ]
no subject
[Squirming. Well and truly. Until...
Wait. Isn't wrestling the Amal'jaa, sandworms, drakes, and other nasty stuff in the Sagolii desert the U's idea of a good time? Not the T's...?]
- You know well enough what kind of hypocrite it would make me if I were to judge someone based on their clan or their tribe, Brohka.

It's all in jest anyway. Now believe it or not, I did consider taking up a miner's axe. Then a dreadful thought passed through my mind and I thought it best to not tempt fate.
You do that enough for the both of us.
no subject
...relief. Somuchofit. So he'll merely settle for allowing her to laugh, foot moving to scrape against the floor.
...What was that thought? If you do not mind me asking. I have heard it can be lucrative...
And at the very least, very good for providing crafting catalysts such as crystals and matter.

it's a wee bit embarrassing. go figure. ]
I don't much care for tearing up my hands. Or nails.
no subject
There might be a little smirk forming...
But he's going to look away.
Hoping she doesn't notice.]....
[He really should say something, but would it sound like he was making fun of her?]
. . .
no subject
All right, all right. Out with it.

After seeing you with that bow and an agenda, I would have assumed your nails were the last thing on your mind...
I..
I think the best way to put it is that you're terrifying. Even if sometimes...
[The wrong thing is hit as a result of T's enthusiasm!]
no subject
While I do oh so love to strike terror into the hearts of my targets... What good does learning all of these ballads do if my playing becomes hindered from poorly cared for nails?
no subject
[Whoops. Hopefully, the fun that's going to be made of him for referencing that bard will overwrite any kind of confusion that might strike T at the fact that since they met him, Thancred hasn't sung a note.]
no subject
[ she can sing... but sadly she's just not confident about that. now onto more pressing matters. ]
Now I think you're quite obsessed. Does that person often sing in your dreams?
[ because she just can't see Thancred singing. ever. ]
no subject
.................
no!
He's a bard. You're a bard. I assumed you were all capable of singing just as well as you play and he doesn't carry an instrument so I just assumed-

no subject
[Whether she can sing or not... (Of course she can!) ...the subject matter will probably be horrific.]
At least for the fact it is intended for my ears alone. I dread to think what you would envision as suitable.
no subject
not that she ever intends on following through. oh no no no. ]
Oh I don't know... I could regale the public with your epic struggle to scale a tree.
no subject
[He's never going to live that down, is he. What can he say. He likes books. Not physical activity, not poaching, and certainly not climbing - unlike his sisters.]
I am sure every Couerlclaw within the Shroud already knows of that. ...Probably the Redbellies, as well.

Then, finally!]
You are correct. In fact, the reason you have not heard of any is because they do not survive. I have read that with your clan, you are strict regarding which Tia becomes a Nunh, as you want the best... genetic stock for future generations.
With my clan, any Keeper, male or female, which cannot master a bow, lance, or even climbing is ...discarded. Females find themselves cast out, and due to the matriarchal nature of my clan, males...
[Well.]
... Not many males exist for a reason.

while it is a good sob story... T'brohka can only really see something good out of it. ]
Their loss. My gain.
