You'd be surprised what they'll do that for. Some to have accounts they want a certain tim frame for, some for live action, some for this or that... it's not that strange, truly.

And some, for a haircut... [ Ororo shakes her head, smiling. ] No, but I do believe that this is for the first reason you mentioned. A certain time frame, that is. [ The hair was just a bonus. ]

Exactly. See-- I may be from a specific time frame, but my look over all hasn't changed, recently. So while I may be from a specific era, my mun draws icons from all over my modern era run... and, she keeps telling me, "That new New 52 you is so dreamy~" we'll probably be borrowing looks from the reboot.

Though I keep telling her she needs to just stick that gentleman in his own account. He's quite fascinating, but were... still very different people, as yet.

So she tells me you wore this look in the 80s; did you recently return to it for a reason?

[ Ahh, reboots. Ororo's encountered AU's in canon, but thankfully she's never had to deal with reboots. She makes a thoughtful hum. ]

It has been some time since I wore this look last, yes. But I suppose you could say that I... needed a reminder of who I am. [ She words it carefully. She doesn't know this man, after all. She isn't about to spill her lifestory to him just yet. ]

I think it partly has to do with a certain thief also residing in the headspace. But she's still very, very glad.

Truth be told, I kinda wish mine'd go with that solution. But I guess that's jus' the curse'f bein' a fashionable man: ya get so many looks these poor mun-schmoes don't know which one's the best, so they jus' mix and match and hope it all works out in the end. One account for one look? Real smooth way to resolve things'f ya ask me.

That is one way to look at it, yes. My own mundane claims that aesthetics is only part of the reason, of course. Something to do about the gravity of the choices I've made and shifts in attitude at this point.

I suspect that aesthetics is the bulk of the reason for a new account, however.
