[Well, you finally get to see her angry about something.]

[Okay, time to go into leader mode.]

I think... really, the best course of action is to invite Velvet into our group of friends. When it comes to bullies... this is one fight we can't fight for them. Juane and Velvet need to stand up for themselves in this... If we stepped in, it would only make things worse on them, because the instant we're not there to back them up, Cardin and his thugs would be back with a vengeance.

...Believe me, I'd love to knock Cardin down a notch, but for now, the best thing we can do is help train the living crap out of Juane so he can kick Cardin's but in front of the whole kingdom once the festival starts.

[She blinks, because that's... both spot-on and really decent of her. Not that she should be surprised. She already knew that Ruby and the others were better people than Cardin and others like him.]

That's a good idea. ... And it might help Velvet to have somebody watching her back because it doesn't look like her team is going to do it.

Believe me... I know where Juane and Velvet are coming from. When I first started at Signal, I was about as klutzy as Juane is now, and picked on about as much as Velvet. I mean... I was just Yang's baby sister, couldn't do anything on my own.

...It wasn't until someone managed to steal my cloak... [She pauses a second, squeezing the cape in her hands.] ...before I just... snapped. Before I knew it, Yang and uncle Qrow were pulling me off the kid. I got suspended for a month, but that's when uncle Qrow helped me forge Rose.

And... ever since, I never needed to hide behind Yang for protection. It's the only reason I can stand up for myself now...

[She knits her brow, as a bit of Yang's influence starts to show through.] That settles it! Juane is going to kick that pompous blowhard's butt so hard Cardin won't be able to stand up for a month!

Yeah, I know what that's like too.

[She won't be telling a story though. Ruby will just have to use her imagination.]

[She's definitely got that enthusiasm in common with her sister. It's enough that Blake actually finds herself grinning a little despite herself.]

That cape's pretty important to you, huh?

[She nods, a sad smile creeping into her face.]

It was my mom's. ...My biological mom. She died when I was still just a baby... it's all I have left of hers.

Oh. .. Sorry.

[She folds her arms, looking off to the side.]

... I lost my parents when I was young too.

It's okay. She was a Huntress, and one of the best. I'm proud to be her daughter.

[She holds onto her cloak for a bit]

Do... you remember anything about them?

[Blake nods a little. Ruby's on her way there too, she can see that much.

As for the question, Blake is quiet for a little while, keeping her expression even.]

I remember enough.

[While awkwardly finger combing her hair.]

To be honest, I feel bad for not stepping in. Jaune better get his act together, cause I'm not letting him take the lead like that again.

Picking a fight in the lunchroom wouldn't have done any good.

[And she'll fold her arms angrily.]

And at least Jaune doesn't have to worry about how many people there might have taken Cardin's side.

[Yeah, there's some bitterness there.]

Oh, I wouldn't go in swinging. Just get in his way. I'd even let him try and get the first punch in.

Still, it wouldn't do Jaune and that girl much good if we fight their battles would it? I mean they're supposed to be learning to be hunters, right?

He might actually try it.

[And with his flunkies backing him up, that would be the only excuse needed for the rest of the team to jump in and that's when everything would blow up. And Nora's leg-breaking comment was a little too specific.]

You're probably right. Still....

[It doesn't mean she has to like it.]

It'd be wicked fun... [cue that smile.]

And maybe they need to work up to things, you know? You don't go for the biggest grimm you can find when you're just starting out right? We can...help. [Yang slams her left fist into her right hand.]

... It would be. [Because it isn't even a question that Blake has her back if it came down to that. Right now it does sound like a ton of fun to beat Team CRDL into the ground.]

You're saying we should help them train? [She gets a bit of her own smile back.]

[Yang's whole face lights up at this idea.]

That's not a bad idea. I was thinking about how you don't take on a Nevermore the first day you get your weapon, you start with smaller grimms but I think we can help them out.

[Is she kidding? She must be kidding. Right?]

Well, they won't get anywhere if they just keep getting pushed around either. Maybe we can set up some practice matches.

[Now all they have to worry about is sparring against Yang. Progress!]

I don't know, I have to say I kind of like his style.

I wonder if he'd be interested in starting a career as a hired goon...

[Oh, hell no. What are you doing here?]

[That'll get a laugh out of him. He'll blow a little smoke her way.]

When that day arrives, I can only hope I'll run faster than he does.

[Gross. She waves the smoke away from her face with a glare but she doesn't back up from it.]

You could always start practicing right now.

[He's all kinds of scumbag.]

I could, but I'm much more comfortable right here at the moment.

[He's the biggest scumbag of them all.

But she knows she can't do much about it in this place, it's not like she can haul him off to the police here. So she'll just have to put up with it.

Doesn't mean she has to put up with that cigar smoke though and she turns away a little only to snatch Gambol Shroud off her back in a quick arm, aiming to slice the stinking thing in half.]

[And he was just about to take another puff when suddenly his cigar was cut in half. Wait... Is that a bit of his hat falling hitting the ground with it?]

Jeez... Kids today, no respect.

[He looks a little sour about his hat, but he'll pull out his lighter and try to light the remaining half of his cigar back up.]

[Well, the hat's a bonus. She could try again but... that's probably enough to make up for blowing smoke at her. For now.]

Go ahead and stay then. I don't like the way it smells in here right now.

[She doesn't really have much else to say to this guy, so she'll just replace Gambol Shroud and turn to go, but still keep an ear out in case he tries anything.]

[Oh no. You aren't getting away that easily Blake. Turns out Roman has decided to follow along behind her. Trying to stay just out of range of her weapon should try and ruin anything else on him.]

Turns out it wasn't the spot that I liked. It was the wonderful company.

[Careful there. Her weapon's range might surprise him. She sighs when she realizes he's following her. She knows when she's being baited.]

Is this what you do when you aren't busy knocking over Dust shops? Just follow people around, being a nuisance?

You call it being a nuisance, I call it keeping an eye on the friends of the person who wronged me. But they're close enough to the same thing.

[I think he just held a grudge against Ruby.]

[I think he did too. Don't mess with her teammate, Torchwick.]

That happened before we even met and what do you think you're going to find out when I know you're watching me?

[He messes with who he wants, whether it's little girls or old shop keepers.]

[And they'll be glad to return the favor. Yang might be the one with the temper but she's the one you'll see coming.]

[Now she stops and turns to face him again.]

[Ah, now that could be a problem. Her eyes shift around, checking out her surroundings and her right hand inches up toward Gambol Shroud.]

Okay. Let's get this over with then.

Now now, don't be in a rush. I'll call them out.

[He'll aim Candy Cane up into the sky and let out a brightly colored blast. By all means it certainly looked like it was supposed to be a signal, but it was actually a distraction as his other hand reached into his jacket to retrieve a dart gun.]

[Gambol Shroud is off her back as soon as he pulls the trigger but at least she knows as much not to focus on the blast. Instead, she turns her head, waiting for the goons to come out.]

[And that's exactly what he was hoping for. He'll quickly pull the dart gun out and will fire two darts at Blake's arm.]

You really are gullible, you know that?

Now why don't you take a little nap?

[It's hard to see but when the dart gun goes off her bow... twitches a little bit. There's a blink and the darts fly through the after-image left behind as she flashes to the left and then again back to the right, just to try to throw Roman off.

Even as she moves she separates Gambol Shroud and by the time she stops, it's scythe form is already whipping through the air on its ribbon to maybe give Roman a little hair-trim to go with the one she gave to his hat a minute ago.]

[OOC: I think I'll let her avoid the kidnapping plot on the Dear_Mun post BUT if you wanted to try it on a meme somewhere I'd be down for poking at it.]

[OOC: Yeah, I kind of thought after I posted that it might not have been a great idea to do that here. This works better anyways. IF you would like to do that on a meme I'd be down. Or any meme for that matter]

[For some reason, he had a feeling it wasn't going to be that easy. It's a certainly a good thing he isn't Yang at the moment as he watches a few strands of his hair fall to the ground. Well there went that plan and it was pretty obvious his comment about having back up was a bluff now too.]

Right... That just happened...

[Yeah, that totally just did. She'll whip Gambol Shroud through the air once more before pulling it back into her hand.

Threatening her with goons was one thing but actually trying to kidnap her? Not gonna happen. She'll flash-step forward again, bringing her in close enough for a sharp kick at Roman's gut.]

[Roman honestly isn't really much of a fighter. He's a planner, and a quick getaway kind of guy. That's why he relies on hired goons. Without them... Well he had this great plan that just went up in smoke.

He'll try to make a get away but he doesn't get too far before a certain leg connects with his gut. He's just going to take a few shaky steps back and clutch his gut for now.

...He really should have brought goons.]

[Well, now what? If this was Vale she could probably try to haul him in herself. But it isn't, so her options are much more limited.

For now, she'll just settle at aiming a gun at him and glaring daggers his way.]

Don't ever try that again.

[Huh. Doesn't get much more humiliating than this.

For now he'll wait until he catches his breath before raising a hand up in her direction.]

Right, I wont make that mistake again.

[He probably will.]

[She'll glare for another second and then put Gambol Shroud away again and taking a few steps back.]

Are we done now?

For now, I'd say.

[He's just going to take a little bit to collect himself. Reassemble that broken pride.]
