I want to at least make it completely clear how insane would it be for my to end up somewhere people are used to time travel. I figure it would affect the way things work if I happen to pop in the middle of something important.

The time travel is only for some time, then I return to roughly the same time I left.

And we have a chronograph so that helps. It allows you to chose when you want to travel.
