I haven't been up to anything lately. After the space ship crashed I mean. At least at home there was always something to do. [Like shop. Or kill Yeerks. Whatever she happened to be in the mood for.]

Yeah. Home was never... boring. [ That's for sure, but she prefers things calm and uneventful. ]

She called it a sandbox, whatever that means. It's not a game like she sent me to before, but I can live with that. Last time I was stuck on a spaceship-turned-testing-facility with some evil computer in charge.

[She opens her mouth to give another snappy retort and then thinks better of it, sighing in annoyance. He hadn't meant it. He didn't know her well enough to mean it like that.]

And we both know you would never be the rude type. [She's back to her usual teasing bickering with him, and in response to the question she just shrugs. It's the closest to an apology he's going to get.]

Hey, no reservations here about saving some lives, and if I have to kick some bad guy butt to make it happen, all the better. [Although there is something about dying in battle that has her usual gung ho mentality about fighting somewhat dampened.]

It's just the 'hero' title I'm not really loving. Way too cliche. [And far too heavy. Rachel isn't really sure it's a title she wants to carry.]

We don't have code names. And besides, this is less 'crime-fighting super-squad' and more 'lone hero out to find herself' or something like that.

No squad, just a bunch of people expecting me to smile and save the day. [She makes a face, clearly not amused. There were going to be people there expecting her to be an awesome example of ~pure-hearted goodness~ and she was pretty sure 'ruthless warrior who enjoys the fight so much it got her killed' didn't really fit into what they were expecting.]
