[ There's a moment where she just stares, because it's been five years and Jack grew up while Carolyn is frozen in time, dead and rotting while she's not on the Tranquility (and Riddick had told her that out of the three who left the planet, two had been killed by a fucking cult.)

So it takes her a moment, but then she shakes her head, takes a deep breath. ]

I'm not surprised by the fact, just how it made itself clear.

[ Good. Carolyn doesn't like people she likes being dead, as a rule. ]

On the Tranquility, he does his usual -- stays in the shadows, appears out of nowhere to make comments, watches me sleep. [ ... usual enough for Riddick, anyway. ]

In this latest thing... well, if he'd kept to threatening everyone and playing with his puppy it would've been fine. But he used some shitty lines. [ Beat. ] Like telling a merc her painted toenails match her nipples.

[Neither does she but what's a girl going to do about it?]

Of course he would. [Even five years later, Riddick was still a creeper.]

He didn't. [If anyone but Fry had told her, Kyra wouldn't believe it.] That's fucking bad, especially for Riddick.

I think all the time out in the sun might've cooked his brain a little. That or one too many blows to the head.

[ It's also far easier to make snide comments about him here, instead of back on the Tranquility where she feels like she's constantly trying to not die a second time. ]

The first one seems more likely. He's usually the one dealing the blows.

[Fry can share all of her snide comments about Riddick with Kyra.]

Yeah, but the one he takes are usually harder to make up for it.

[ Excellent. She doesn't sleep much anymore, it gives her plenty of time to come up with more. ]

A combination of both. Not that he was ever all that good with people to start with.

[ He'd said he wouldn't even know how to rejoin the human race, after all. ]

[Five years later and he still hasn't changed much.]

No, but I don't think we expected the bad lines, either.

[ Kyra it was distressing you don't even know. ]

It would have been better if he'd just kept his mouth shut.

[One day her mun will see this new movie and see for herself.]

It really would have.

[ The first half's not bad! It's just later, when there are people for Riddick to talk to instead of a dog. ]

But he'll do what he wants, same as always.

That seems to work in his favor.

[Can't say anything about it working for anyone else.]

It's going to get him killed eventually.

[ But everyone dies. They both did, whether Kyra knows it or not. ]

Eventually. He'll probably outlive a lot of people before then.

[Mostly because he's the one killing them but people seem to just die around Riddick - even when he's doing his brand of 'helping'.]

I'm sure he knows it.

Not that I can remember, but he kicked a machete into someone's face while his arms were chained.
