[Not unless someone else takes over your job, Pitch!]
Uh, right. Yeah. [He smirks, like he's privy to a secret that no one else is, then jumps up on top of his crook, crouching down so that he's around eye-level to Pitch.] I guess I just haven't been scared of anything.
[Pitch might notice a distinct lack of 'Will I ever find out why I was created/will I ever be accepted by the Guardians' fear from Jack. In fact, there doesn't seem to be much fear at all. Or joy, actually.]
You should be. [This not-so-jovial, not-so-fearful Jack Frost even gives him the creeps!
It's not like Jack at all to be unconcerned with these things, but maybe the boy is just pulling his leg. Yes, that has to be it. But that look in those eyes. He knows that look all to well.] Has Jack Frost finally grown up?
[Jack lets out a laugh, which only sounds vaguely like his laughs usually do. It has a mean edge to it.]
You could say that. [He playfully waves his hand, sending a small floating dog made of frost to nip at Pitch, and if it gets at him, it's bite will be freezing and unforgiving. There's not even a flicker from his staff.
He doesn't need it to control his power anymore.] But some things never change.
