on meeting a canon Cecil
That was ... fascinating, and bizarre. I mean, not that there's anything wrong with Ci being a guy, it's just not what I'm used to. And you say most of them are?
I mean, factoring in alternate realities, one would think it would be closer to an even split, the same as the general population, but maybe you're right. I'd have to research it further, and alternate realities aren't really my area of study.

/SIGH I'm sorry I just couldn't help it
But you'd probably be wrong.
No! No apologizings!
I'm sorry have a robot XD
She even has another boy-me in here too! He's really nice though so we get to play hide and seek and ice cream parades all the time!
No apologies necessary!
My Mun doesn't have a male version of me, but she's got both male and female versions of others. Mostly the two don't interact as far as I know, but there are a couple pairs that steal each other's snacks, it's all really fascinating.

[Please hold while attention jump is in process.]
...Want a pickle?
no subject
That's ... kind of how they share? Stealing back and forth, I mean, it's not the most sensible way to go about things, but assassins, what can you do?
[Blinking, broooowraaaaaaiiiise]
Sure, if you've got one to share, I sort of skipped lunch, bad habit.
no subject
[That pocket there should have no room for anything as close as it sits against the robot's hip. And yet out she pulls a full jar of pickles, which she holds out with a beaming smile.]
Pappy does that a lot too, especially when he's working on more experiments!
no subject
[And then more blinking, because
bagpockets of holding shouldn't actually exist]That's... how did... huh.
Look what you made me do XD
Because how perfect. How beautiful.]
Can't blame me for something you were going to do anyway!
creepy staringadmiration. She's thinking about sciencey things. Takin' notes, makin' measurements, you know, the usual.]Sure I can 8> /never apologizes for rampant derpery
stare like a creeperadmire! She should say something.
Something smooth, suave. Some wonderful flirtatious quip that might just make the scientist's heart skip a beat.]
Hiya.
[Wait, that's not right at all.]
Fine, I accept all blame, but not the responsibility.
Hi.
Fair enough, fair enough! 8)
Be cool Cecilia, be cool.]
So... what're you up to?
[That's right, cool girl here. Lookit that casual smile.
Ignore how dorky it looks, okay?]
no subject
[There may be some gesticulating here. Protip: there is.]
But in most of these other, parallel dimensions, we're ... well, male.
no subject
[She paused, tilting her head with a small considering sound.]
Of course that could have been the last employee picnic. It's always hard to tell through the government-mandated hallucinogens.
no subject
That's ... hm. Yes, I can see how it would be difficult to tell the difference.
no subject
Now for holiday parties, it's fairly obvious to tell. But for general morale-boosting parties it's always a random administration. It's like a party favor really!
no subject
That's, I mean, huh.
[She won't say it's not normal, that statement always leads to blank stares.] I'll have to keep that in mind, I mean, if I'm here for a holiday.
no subject
[Theeere's that eager-puppy hopeful smile.]
no subject
As long as I'm not working on anything time-sensitive, I'd love to.
Guh they're so cute CX
Great~! I'll be sure to check '+1' when the sign up sheet comes around!
My teeth are corroding from too much sweetness
This is far more amusing than I thought it would be, your Carla is fab CX
[Well, she would, but she knows how important all this science is to Carla. So she'll behave!
Or well... she'll intend to give warning, but get excited and it will completely slip her mind as she plans just how to make everything perfect that 'oh wait, Carla needs to know she's coming, oops!']
haha, thanks, I really ought to catch up, I'm still back on 17 or 18
[Even without a warning she'll probably be fine, I mean, she does have a team who can babysit the experiments.]
I'm up on like... 26 or something, I'll try not to spoil you 83
So timetables are important to your work then?
[Being interested in Carla's work? Well yes, but it also helps give her an excuse to follow the other woman around smiling dreamily and sighing over that perfect hair...]
I appreciate it!
For some of them, they're on a time limit and have to be observed regularly, just to view and note the differences and variations, whether they're atmospheric or whatever else.
83
I never knew science required such diligence.~
no subject
[Hence the extensive note-taking.]
no subject
[Someone might need to start writing things down. She can help she can help!
Assuming Carla could read her chicken-scratch that is.]
Surely there's more to it, especially with such a smart woman like yourself. You shouldn't sell yourself short.
no subject
Scientifically-informed messing around, I mean, but still just messing around.
no subject
[Wait for it...
wait for it...]
I-I don't mean like- I'm not trying to insinu--
[Just gonna hide her face in her hands and blush heavily, okay? Okay.]
Oh golly.
no subject
Well. I mean, you know what they say...
[half-nervous throat-clearing.]
Science majors, ah, do it periodically on tables.
no subject
I... I have to admit that's a new one on me.
Goodness.
no subject
[Scratching the back of her neck, just a little absently, because of course explaining the joke will make it less troublesome. Of course.]
