on jumping the gun
You'll get off that computer and stop lookin' for a community for me if you know what's good for you.
You're so in over your head you're about to be six feet under. There have only been three episodes of my show. Ya need to take a step or ten back until you get to know me better before you start making commitments.
And besides, I ain't going nowhere without my family, understand? They need me.

it is def one of my favorites. Hulk seriously wants to kidnap Rex and take him home to the team.
Sounds like he has good taste.
[The next part of his story knocks the smile off of Hulk's face quickly. His expression tightens, but it's not from pity. Hulk feels things very strongly. His emotions are tied to his strength, and vice versa. And Hulk is the strongest there is. A surge of protectiveness rises in Hulk and prompts him to reach out and rest one huge hand on Rex's shoulder.]
He's lucky to have you.
[His eyes slide over to the man in green standing a little ways away and gives him a deliberate nod. Hulk approves of your somewhat stalkerish brand of protectiveness. He would expect nothing less from the man Rex would see fit to call his adoptive father.]
Man, I need to watch Hulk's canon so I can entertain myself with crossover ideas. X3
[As one large hand comes to rest on his shoulder, Rex responds by placing one gloved hand on the Hulk's wrist. Catching the shift in Hulk's gaze, Rex turns his head a little to see a familiar green suit not all that far off. He can't help but smirk.]
...sometimes I wonder if he thinks that or not. I did used to call him my "ninja nanny, just more aggro."
[From the way his smirk turns a bit more sly, it's clear Rex is just joking and teasing, though.]
[His gaze lingers on Six a second longer, as though reassuring his partner that he's fine. He then looks back to Hulk.]
So even though your mun is still trying to make up her mind with all this, think you'll eventually end up in a game somewhere? My mun's already figured out she can't handle more than one game at a time, but eh, she might check in on what's going on with you from time to time. Especially if I bug her about it.
would you like a link? I warn you, it's definitely not perfect and the dialogue gets cheesy as heck
I think he does. Wouldn't be creeping on you otherwise.
[Hulk says it with a rumbling laugh, but sobers a bit at the question.]
I think I'm actually gonna be shelved for now.
[He shrugged. He had been happy about it before, but now it leaves a bitter taste in his mouth as he says it.]
Not forever. Only been around this long because of you.
[Hulk pokes him gently on the chest to punctuate the "you".]
She was reminded how easily attached she gets to these sorts of things. Needs a game plan, a schedule to stick to. It's not a bad idea.
I'm sure I'll seeya around.
Sure! Btw, just out of curiosity, you familiar with Generator Rex? I always assume most aren't.
Oh...
[The gentle poke to the chest and the words associated with it do take him a bit by surprise, the kid blinking down at that big hand. Rex has grown pretty fond of Big Green by this point and it's disappointing to hear the guy's not going much of anywhere right now. However, knowing he's the reason Hulk has stuck around does get him to smile a little again. It's always a good feeling, knowing he's had some sort of positive influence. Plus it seems he's made a new friend who might show up now and then.]
I hope so. You're a pretty cool dude to hang with. My mun lets me run loose here a lot, so I'll be around, too. She also puts me in Bakerstreet memes sometimes if your mun ever decides to send you that way.
I've seen a few episodes, but now you made me want to watch more. Damn it.
[Hulk gave Rex's shoulder the barest of squeezes before stepping back, making a show of cracking his knuckles.]
And if anybody messes with you, send 'em my way. I'll give 'em a nice physical explanation on the proper way to treat my friends.
{Heeere you go~! http://www.watchcartoononline.com/hulk-and-the-agents-of-s-m-a-s-h-episode-1-doorway-to-destruction-part-1 Be careful if you have a PC, there will be a few pop-ups. Now I gotta go track down some Generator Rex episodes. You did this to me.}
Mwahaha, not sorry. X]
[Regardless of what he has to say about his own mun (and he's not wrong), Rex is still smiling as he looks up at Hulk. He can usually take care of himself and he does have back up on hand, but it's always good to know there's more help waiting in the wings, so to speak. Making new friends always puts a smile on his face, anyway.]
You take care, too. And while there's no doubt you can handle yourself in a fight, if you ever run into some serious problems with technology, feel free to call me. I'll gladly give you a hand.
[Quite literally, of course. The point punctuated by the glowing blue tech lines that light up along his lower right arm before he gives Hulk a thumbs up.]
((OOC: Thanks! Unfortunately, don't have any links like that to direct you to for GR episodes. I've heard from friends that the first season is up on Netflix, though. Don't know if that helps, but it's the best I can think of at the moment aside from the usual iTunes rec.))
