I appreciate you getting me away from things. Even Reality Storms are a vacation compared to canon, sometimes. So I know between that and the canon point you picked you're trying to keep me from suffering, unlike a lot of muns.

But you've waited until the last second, and I don't know if we can pull that off. I mean, I just don't want to get my hopes up. My Dad promises me things all the time without coming through; I know better than to plan for something that might not happen.

I'm gonna say that might depend on the storm. I've seen some seriously ugly ones. Still, being in a place where you can will what you need into existence isn't a bad trade for that.

As for apping? Well, your mun still has all of today, plus tomorrow and Friday. That's still a decent amount of time, right?

You have no idea what my canon is like. It gets weird and intense. And honestly? I want to be in a place with people who don't dislike me right out of the gate more than I want the bending thing.

Like I said, I just don't want to get excited for something that might not happen.

I do know a pretty good deal about "weird and intense", trust me. Well, my own canon's brand of it, anyway.

People hate me because of my dad. It's complicated. He's a good guy, things are just, well, weird and intense, you know? Superheroes attacking and mutant suppression and corporate takeovers are a lot to juggle.

That...really doesn't sound good at all. If you dad's such a good guy, why does he have superheroes going after him? Not sure I wanna know about that mutant suppression business, though.

He was framed for a murder. But he's innocent - his boss was his best friend for years, they were like brothers. He'd never hurt him, let alone... well, no one believes him or me right now.

I support mutant rights. It's not a popular position. But I stand by it.

Man... Okay, yeah. Starting to see what you meant by "intense."

[The mention of mutant suppression had him tensing up, but upon hearing her stance on it, he starts to relax again.]

Seeing as how it takes a lot of guts to stand by an unpopular opinion, especially one like that, I think you've already earned a little bit of my respect.

I was with him at the time of the supposed murder. It's the only thing keeping him out of jail. But it's my understanding going to Nautilus wouldn't take me from there for time that passes in my world, right?

[She smiles, warmly. She doesn't get compliments often, but this is something she believes in.]

I have a friend who's a mutant in denial. Even so, he's a great guy. One of my other friends has a mutant sister who is the nicest girl I know. There's no reason to be mean to them. They're just people.

Wherever and whenever you're Called from, if you ever go back home again, you'll end up back at that exact same place and time. It's not really that time stops, even though that's what it seems like... More like your life is a book and entering Nautilus puts a bookmark in place of where your story last left off, so you can go straight back to that spot again later if you want to.

[Her smile is a little on the infectious side, and it does him some good to hear someone speaking positively about those who are different, especially given her world's probable issues with mutants.]

People who don't usually choose to end up the way they are, either.

I wish more people had your attitude on that.

Good. That's all that I need to know, and need to have. So long as I don't have to leave my dad alone, I'm good. We may not get along or be as close as we used to, but I'm still worried.

[She doesn't know that her canon would've have a mutant registration act in season three if they'd gotten renewed. With any luck, that horror will remain a distant impossible thought.]

Exactly. It's like being born any other minority. There'll be more people who realize that as time goes on, probably.

Totally understandable. I know if my older brother wasn't in Nautilus with me, I'd be worrying about him like that.

[He frowns a little.]

In your world, hopefully. For anyone who's radically different in mine, things are getting worse. And what's sad is that while it seemed like it was starting to get better for a little while, everything took a serious dive right after. These days, altered DNA will get you locked up or enslaved.

It's great he's there with you. Too bad no one's likely to play my dad.

[She frowns sympathetically.]

The mutants in my world have formed their own nation, Genosha. Things are bad in some countries for mutants, so some people are leaving for there. Can't they set up some kind of sanctuary nation like that in your world?

There are some remote places where EVOs can gather and stay under the radar, but not all those places are safe or in good shape.

The biggest and most well known place would be Abysus, which I guess would be our Genosha, but the EVO in charge of the place can't be trusted. He's also completely out of his mind right now and working for the organization that thinks just about all EVOs should be wearing control collars. He doesn't really care about his own kind... Just himself. And power.

That's awful. I wish there was something that could be done to change things. This guy sounds completely insane. I don't even want to think what damage he could do in the long run.

Me and my team will handle him, and it wouldn't be the first time I've screwed up his plans. Just gotta make sure he goes down and stays down this time.

I hope so - wait, team? Are you a superhero?

Not in the traditional, secret identity, cape wearing sense. I used to be a special agent with the organization I mentioned before. After my old boss got the boot and the new boss proved she was a total control freak with screwed up priorities, I bailed.

So while I've stopped a few crimes here and there, most of what I do somehow involves EVOs.

So you're heroic, and super, but not technically a superhero. That's pretty cool. Your world sounds really rough, though.

Just canon updated me, even though it was painful for me. My mun isn't as merciful as your's when it comes to these things.

Oh, Pepper... I'm sorry. I didn't know. I wish I could help, but muns usually don't undo that kind of thing.

Good. You're a lot nicer than my world's Pepper, so you deserve it. She... deserves someone to explain to her what the word 'rude' means.

I'm sure she'll learn someday. Maybe if I ever see her, I'll give her a dictionary as a gift. One with nothing but the definition of "rude" over and over again. It'd sink in then, right?

I can't type nearly that fast, but if I had to respond to each and every one of them to get my point across, I'd do it! She may be Patricia and I may be Virginia, but a Pepper Potts still shouldn't be behaving that way regardless!

My mun blames the show writers, not the Pepper.

So do I, and I would tell Patricia that but I doubt she'd understand. I'd stick with the subtle, gentle approach. I'm sure it'd work eventually, no-one who isn't my Tony can be resilient to it!
