Voicetesting one Padawan

I think you're getting ahead of yourself, munnie.

The easy part is over so it's time for you to get started on the hard stuff. You've got a lot of missions you need to write up before you even need to worry about which point in time to take me from or which game to put me in. Though I have to say: I'm not exactly thrilled about the idea you have about taking me when I'm on the run from...anyone. Can we not even mention the fact that I work with that bog witch in the future? Why don't you take me from one of the many times I've saved Skyguy's life instead? [Definitely teasing.]

And find me a place where Anakin is because you know he's going to need me watching his back. It's bound to be dangerous wherever he ends up and he's probably destroyed something already.

Fair warning, muns have this annoying tendency to take you from the worst possible moment. And for some reason, the more we try to talk them out of it? The more it convinces them it's a good idea. I keep wondering if reverse psychology would be worth a shot...

It's not the worst possible moment but it's not one of the better ones. Seems once they get the idea in their head it's hard to change their mind.

Maybe mine will get lazy and decide she doesn't want to write it all out.

Isn't that the truth? And I can tell you, it doesn't get much better once you've been rolling along for a while. Especially if they find another mun to brainstorm with.

Or maybe just change her mind? Because, as much as I complain, I think it'd be a lot more boring to just stay in their heads all the time. Though, from the sounds of things, you see plenty of action in the world you come from.

No matter what point she takes me from I'm always going to wonder what's happening back in the galaxy. My mun has definitely found that. They've already talked about how fun it would be if I got stuck with an enemy droid. [Eyeroll.]

I don't want her to change her mind and stick me in her head. My Master needs me around to save him when he gets into trouble.

Galaxy, huh? [He lets out a low whistle.] That's a lot more impressive than what I've got back home, that's for sure. As for the muns, someone really needs to investigate their definition of the word "fun". Because it usually involves either awkwardness or running for our lives. Possibly both.

Hopefully you can find him, then. Though hopefully you don't find several of him, because I've seen that happen before, too... and if they're all the same, every one of them would need saving, too.

I wouldn't wonder so much if there wasn't a war going on. What's happening for you? They're not the only one that thinks that way.

[A grin.] That is probably Master Obi-Wan's worst nightmare. As for me, I'm sure I could handle it.

A war, huh? Can't say I blame you for being nervous. Where I come from, we're trying to prevent one, but it's just among my people. [One ear twitches forward.] You said it's an entire galaxy involved? I can't even imagine... it must be hard.

Hmmm... sounds kind of familiar. Let me guess, your Master is kind of a hot head, and this Master Obi-Wan is a bit more of a by-the-book kind of guy? I've seen that a few times in my life. If I'm right, no wonder your master needs you!

Good luck with that. [It's said sincerely. War is terrible.] It is and we all want it to end. Well, most of us.

He's more reckless than hot-headed and that makes most people anxious. Still his way of doing things gets the job done.

There's always a few nut jobs who thrive on violence and conflict, no matter where you come from. Thankfully there are people who are willing to step in and make a difference... sounds like you're doing that. You're a braver soul than me, that's for certain.

[He can't help but smirk at that.] Reckless? Sometimes a person's got to take a chance or two, as long as they're not completely foolish. [Totally not speaking from experience here.] If nothing else, it makes things a little less dull.

It's what the Jedi do. We're peacekeepers. We only interfere when we've been requested. [Which can be frustrating at times.]

[Smiling back.] I agree with that. Sometimes my Master has a tendency to do foolish things and they're always exciting.

[That causes a silght head tilt on the rabbit's part.] So... if someone is causing trouble, but no one is able to ask for help, you can't go in? That's... [He's trying to find the right words, so as to not offend her.] ...odd.

I'm willing to bet he's a little more calculated than he sometimes appears. It's sort of like magic, half the work is making it look tougher than it really is.

It's not our place to go where we're not wanted. I find it hard not to help where I could. [Something she's always kind of struggled with.]

Sometimes I'm pretty sure he's making it up as he goes.

I'm afraid to even ask, Master. Normally it would be that something's been blown up or a ship's been destroyed but there are other things that could have happened in these new places.

You can't blame every explosion on me. Sometimes they just happen when I'm around.

Besides. [He has a very wry grin down]

How fair is it to deny you the recognition you deserve for your own accidental explosions?

Just like ships happen to crash when you're around?

[Rolls her eyes playfully.]

I don't have nearly as many accidental explosions as you do, Master.

It's not my fault so many ships are shoddily constructed.

That's because you're still young. If I've taught you well, you'll catch up.

There might be some who would say it had to do with your reckless way of piloting them.

[Sincerely:] You have taught me well.

And those same reckless piloting skills have kept you from dying in any of those crashes.

[His smile turns affectionate] You do listen from time to time. I'll give you that.

I've returned the favor. When I'm not the one getting us into trouble. [She's had a few of those kinds of incidents.]

Well enough to survive on my own when I need to.

So you're this troublesome Padawan of Anakin's that I've heard so much about. I hope you're putting him through his paces.

[Troublesome? Her? Okay yeah, that's pretty accurate sometimes.]

Not nearly as troublesome as Anakin is, Master Kenobi. I'm not doing it on purpose. Most of the time.

[master_kenobi]

Neither was he.

Anakin's told me you became his Padawan after the war started.

[padawansnips]

I do my best to look out for him. When I'm not the one accidentally getting us into trouble.

[Which is a thing that happens. Surely Obi-Wan can understand that.]

That's correct, Master. It was during a battle on Christophsis when Master Yoda sent me to join him. He didn't want me at first.

[master_kenobi]

...Then why did he choose you?

[padawansnips]

We destroyed a deflector shield generator together and I pulled a wall down around him to destroy a bunch of retail droids that had him surrounded. He said I was reckless and that I might make it as his Padawan. I've been with him ever since.

[Reckless. Like Master, like Padawan.]

[master_kenobi]

No, I mean to start with.

[As far as he knows, Jedi choose to take on a Padawan. And then they choose the Padawan. How could Anakin have one he didn't want? Although, Obi-Wan had felt Qui-Gon hadn't really wanted him all that much at the beginning, so maybe it was like that.]

[padawansnips]

Master Yoda assigned me to him.

[And she doesn't question Yoda.]

When I arrived you both thought I was your Padawan.

[master_kenobi]

[Master Yoda assigned her...?]

Well, if you're as much like Anakin as I've been led to believe, I can see why.

[padawansnips]

[He had his reasons.]

What has he said about me?

[master_kenobi]

That you're going to be a great Jedi, that you keep him on his toes and that I probably enjoy seeing him get a taste of his own medicine a little too much.

[padawansnips]

Those last two certainly sound true and I hope the first will be as well.

[master_kenobi]

I expect, once I catch up to you, that they'll all prove true.

[padawansnips]

There's a lot to catch up on. [War keeps them busy.]

[Curiously:] What is the last thing you remember?

[master_kenobi]

I was about to go looking for a planet called 'Kamino'. Have you heard of it?

[padawansnips]

[Nods.]

It's the clones' homeworld. I've never been there but it's important.

[master_kenobi]

I see.

Then I suppose I must have found it.

[padawansnips]

You did. The clones are the Republic's army now.

[master_kenobi]

So I've been told.

... Anakin doesn't feel that was...entirely ethical.

[padawansnips]

Even though they're clones they are still people. They have independent thoughts and personalities. We do our best to protect them and use strategies to keep the losses down.

[master_kenobi]

Not an easy task, I imagine, when our own losses are to be so staggeringly high.

[padawansnips]

Unfortunately. But the clones are a lot smarter than the tinnies. The Separatist forces are just outnumber us.

[master_kenobi]

Anakin has suggested to me that a great deal of the war was orchestrated to arrange as many Jedi deaths as possible. To thin our ranks. The Clones, unfortunately, were pawns to the Sith.
