AN OLD MUSE RETURNS

Aah! Mademoiselle! It has been far too long since we last spoke this way. I know you have missed our conversations and of course my company, and it's very fitting that a cinematic performance of Les Miserables should wake me from such a long sleep.

[a brief pause as he lightly brushes off nostalgia and the urge to hum Le Temps des Cerises.]

You don't have to worry about where to ah-- "put me" as you said. I am content to distract you from the vile grip of Angleterre; a worthy cause, non?

[ooc: I HAVEN'T PLAYED HIM IN AGES apologies for the rustiness]

Not if you're going to distract her with your own brand of idiocy.

[Flat look is flat as Switzerland slips his hands into the pockets of his slacks and watches the other nation expectantly.]

I trustyou can maintain a measure of control, oui?

Have a dude with a dog head.

[personal profile] weirdsasha 2013-08-11 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate to interrupt, but what's Angleterre?
weirdsasha: (Default)

I try.

[personal profile] weirdsasha 2013-08-11 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
... right. And what's so bad about England now? I seem to be kinda out of the loop.

[ Squint. He's got an odd feeling about speaking with this man. ]

It is nice to hear my native tongue in this place, I must say, monsieur.

Though the circumstances certainly make this a bit... strange for myself. What is your name?
weirdsasha: (Default)

[personal profile] weirdsasha 2013-08-11 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
... I'll admit I'm not much fond of the rain, but I don't think I'd go so far as to call it vile

[ He is never going to be over meeting people who know him without any introduction. It's so.... why would you do that it's not proper, and why is he known by others anyway? ]

A pleasure, I'm sure.

[ He sounds so sure. ]

Is it because you are a fellow Frenchman that your mundane was, ah, inspired by the- by Les Miserables?
weirdsasha: (Default)

[personal profile] weirdsasha 2013-08-11 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
... what?

[You've managed to confuse a man with a dog's head. Congrats, France.]
weirdsasha: (Default)

[personal profile] weirdsasha 2013-08-11 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Wanna try that again?

[Nope.]

[ Grantaire snorts, a small eyeroll might not escape Francis' notice. ]

Ah yes, I have heard that before. We are all "France," are we not?

[personal profile] cheddar 2013-08-11 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Vile grip is it?

Better than your slimy, clinging embrace.

[ He was considering a comment about how there's nothing "vile" about England's grip lately (on hon hon hon!) but then he remembered how their last conversation about England went and he's none too excited to go there again. Thus, he will instead comment on France's rustiness! ]

You make it sound like you not being around is her fault... but isn't that mostly yours?

[ Those eyebrows are pretty far up now. And yet the words don't sound as... ridiculous as they normally would. They nearly ring of, can he believe it, truth? ]

I do wonder how you would be able to prove such a thing, Monsieur Bonnefoy, but I would not be entirely opposed to the possibility.

If you care to attempt to surprise me.

I think your definition of 'good' and mine differs slightly. [His tone is dry, as if one used to putting up with bothersome things, before he frowns at the other.]

No, he's usually just immature and impulsive, whereas you... you're troublesome. Especially for a busy mun. It takes a lot of time to deal with you on a regular basis, you know.

[personal profile] cheddar 2013-08-12 11:50 am (UTC)(link)
Certainly not, I'm merely remarking on your habit of clinging to things like a limpet.

Like a really long nap or something?

[ He bends over a little and appears to be pondering France's waistline. ]

And you guys call me fat and lazy...

[ And he's reaching out to poke France's stomach, checking to see just how much padding there is there now. ]
vereinigt: ushitora_icons @ lj (pic#5646706)

the mun is sorry for his behavior

[personal profile] vereinigt 2013-08-15 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[Germany is going to stare at France]

My mun is of the opinion that you would fit in well at the place I am at. I'm still considering the best way to test the touch to health property of that place, having another nation with a lack of concern for personal space will be counter-productive.

[he's still staring]
lovespasta: (look over)

This mun apologizes for this...

[personal profile] lovespasta 2013-08-15 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He is curious as to which nation that could possibly be! Certainly it's not him, it's totally Spain! Isn't it? ]

My mun is amused and I don't understand. You mean Big Brother Spain? I only hug because it's suppose to keep you from getting sick! I'm helping us survive!

[ See he's helping! ]
lovespasta: (Default)

[personal profile] lovespasta 2013-08-15 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Ciao!

My mun is in agreement that you'd fit nicely in a place where you survive on touch and hugging! It would be fun to be able to see everyone!

You would probably get a lot hugs!~

UGH FEELINGS

[personal profile] pessimiste 2013-08-18 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
[ Grantaire stares in awe at the transformation of the skin, watching the scar appear on the man's skin. Immediately the words of the Revolution, told to him by his family and old friends, come to mind.

Of treason, kings, tyrants, republics, freedom- and of guillotines. ]

It's not possible.

[ His French is quiet, a hand going over his mouth. How can such a thing be real? ]

SCUSE YOU

[personal profile] pessimiste 2013-08-20 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Grantaire watches him with the ribbon, his mind still hardly believing this. He shakes his head a bit, then looks over at the hand and back at France. ]

No. [ Stepping back a little. ]

Do not call me your friend, monsieur. You are my country, but that is all.

Why did you not help us? Do you have no influence at all?

[ Swallowing hard. ]

You can survive a guillotine but you could not have made Enjolras live? Where are your loyalties?
