Well, my Dad's still missing, my best friend is now officially working with the bad guys, and I don't know what to do.

[That compliment has completely bypassed him. It'll probably hit him on the next round.]

Okay, and? We've had Scott working with the bad guys before. Yes, your dad missing is a bad frigging wrinkle, but we can track him.

[He is not going to shake Stiles, even though he kind of wants to.] Listen, we can't depend on Derek right now, and Scott's AWOL. You need to snap out of this so we can save Cora, Mrs. McCall and your dad.

Can I not like, have half an hour to freak the hell out before I start trying to play at batman? Because there is a lot of stuff that warrants freaking out about, and I'd rather do it now than when something is directly threatening lives.

[Sarcasm for sarcasm, here. He visibly relaxes when Stiles calms.]

I'm going to let you have fifteen, because we need to stop running behind these guys, Stiles, and you're the only one who can get ahead of them. I know you want to scream at the universe, but seriously? You're going to have to put a pin in the trauma.

[And the compliment hits him that time, but he can't help being surly, because Isaac has a very mean way of being nice.]

I'm flattered, really, that you think I'm somehow gonna be capable of fixing all of this, but if my head's not screwed on right, I'm gonna screw up. And when people screw up, people die. So, if you could ease up on the whole 'tough love' approach, and maybe put in a spoonful more 'tea and sympathy' while I get my shit together, I'd be grateful.

[Issac lets out a breath, letting his wolf take a chill pill, before he looks solemnly.]

You know, I could probably kick your little werewolf ass back another ten years in time. In case you hadn't noticed, everything is going to shit. Half our team are dead, dying or possibly turning darkside. We're taking a minute to lick our wounds, because we have time to lose our shit and get over it. Otherwise, we lose our shit in the middle of a fight and people die.

It's cute that you think you could. Maybe you have a point, but Scott hasn't gone dark side. Didn't he do the same with Gerard and played him at the end? Though this time seemed more desperate.

So what's the plan after you're all done licking wounds? Because while you're doing that, someone else is being kidnapped and another person losing their parent.

Yeah, but Gerard was a psychotic old grandpa. Deucalion is evil. And British.

[And everyone knows that evil British people can seduce you with their evil British accents.]

It's not just gonna be a random parent. Okay? She could have taken any parent she wanted, but she went after my Dad and Scott's Mom. Maybe it was just chance, or luck, but I think she chose them.

And when we get your useless future ass back into the waking world, we can talk. Because she has some weird fascination with you, and hopefully that means she told you something that we can use.

[He nods, because Stiles has a point. British and Evil with a capital E spells nothing but disaster for everyone involved.]

She chose them because they just so happened to be there. Right time and place. So really, it was kind of random and maybe a little luck, because now she's got something - someone - to use against you both, and Scott sorta just...gave up and threw in the towel to Deucalion.

And relax. I'm not my future self, remember? Not my fault I'm emotionally vulnerable and fragile in the future.

Yeah, so why would she pass up the opportunity to grab someone else she can use as a pawn? Think about it. You've got two aces, why go for a ten?

I know you're not your older self, but you're still kind of a self-righteous little ass.

[Also, he gets to vent at you. If he yelled at olderDerek right now, Derek would probably just cry, or something equally heinous.]

You've got two options here, Stiles. Give up. Or give up on McCall and do what you have to do.

I suspect I know your answer, and there isn't a third one.

[His face says he still doesn't like you much. Although you did take on the twins, so you get points for that.]

I'm not giving up on Scott.

But I'm not gonna rely on him, either. it's our asses on the line, here, we have to make our own plans.

[He offered himself up time and again, without making Deucalion stronger. He deserves points, dammit.]

He gave up on all of us. Let's be honest. Duke isn't going to give up your dad and Melissa. Not just for Scott. Melissa is all he needs for her, and whatever he needs to get rid of Derek's latest romantic disaster, he's going to use. Including a true alpha.

Do you think he'll let him keep his morals and high ground while with them? Then what happens when he violates all that makes him an alpha? What will Deucalion do to him when he's nothing more than an omega who yet again abandoned what pack he has?

We need to save your dad and Cora. We need to kill the bitch. Scott's one of them now.

[He holds up a finger.]

Scott's between the devil and the deep right now. Of course he went off with Deucalion, but he's not gonna jump straight to the maiming and killing. We have time. All we have to do is get them back first.

Secondly. Yes. We need to kill the bitch.

If he's not killing with them, he's useless to them. The moment he does, he loses what he is. He made a bad choice and ignored those that would have helped make it right. So maybe it worked with Gerard but how many times does he got to try and play lone hero before it backfires on him.

Yet some of us have to let the alpha handle it. Bet some are regretting I'm not alpha now.

I'm not regretting it. I know that you wouldn't just be looking after your own skin, I saw the way you were with Cora. I know you care about her. But I care about Scott. He's my brother. You can't just expect me to go "Welp, he's evil" and have done with it. If there's a way to save him, as well as my Dad and his Mom, I have to take it.

Shhhh. No pointing out what no one else notices. Just throw about that word, psychopath, and ignore the thing with Cora. Or how hard I put myself out there, and the chances I took, to protect her and get her out of there. Shhhh.

And then what? Take him back for what he's done?
