Personally, I don't see the Plumber side winning. I doubt my methods would seem fine to them.

I support the idea that they can change. Nautilus is full of people who've screwed up and need another shot, and if they regret what they've done and agree to make up for it all somehow, then yeah. I am going to support them. Treating them like criminal scum is only going to push them in the wrong direction!

As for why I keep barging my way into your life, you need help whether you want it or not. And even though I know Lelouch will do his best to help you and make you see reason, I can't help but take an interest in you anyway.

Are you ser--They are criminals. And the thing about criminals? They get punished. Saying sorry doesn't magically make everything better. If they want to be sorry, they can be sorry in a cell. I know Earth has a criminal justice system, you can't be that naive.

No one in Nautilus is punished for crimes they didn't commit in the city. That's not how we do things there.

Besides, using the jail we have in Nautilus for the crimes committed there backfires every time. Every criminal that's ever been put in there ends up trying to take revenge after they get out. In a city like Nautilus where we're eternal and will is power, do you really think jail time is going to convince anyone to change?

That said, punishment does happen, just not the way you're used to seeing it handled and usually the Ascended deal it out.
