Look, you've got to make a decision eventually. I realize I'm easily the most desirable of choices for your 'main game', but I think you've got things backwards. How about, and this is just an idea, you send me to the sex game and you send Varric to the game with the big, bloody war. I happen to be very good at sex and while I do think the idea of Varric with his trousers down is hilarious, I'd just as soon let him go fight somebody else's war. He'll make a grand story of it, I'm sure.

Honestly, why couldn't you have just been happy with Carver? He'd look fabulous with tiny, pink wings.

You know, it's rude to go and dig up a person's past like that.

I'm sorry I didn't realize it was a private matter. I personally thought it was something to be celebrated.

I really can't control what I see, but I can keep it confidential at the very least.

That might be for the best. Though I don't like the idea of someone just going and getting my whole backstory without my permission. It takes away all my mystery and charm.

To be fair I'm only seeing the sins and virtues of things you've done. There is quite a lot of things that fit into areas beyond what I would be able to see.

I don't know where you come from, who you are, your family, people beyond brief glimpses of actions you've taken with them or anything that isn't a good or bad thing so to speak.

[Dryly:] Oh, so you missed all the boring parts. Well, isn't that a relief.

Boring parts? Honestly I'm more interested in your adventures and your thoughts on matters than whom you spent a late night or day with.

[sixthings]

You know, people write books about those sort of things. Very interesting books about people who want people to know about their life stories. I'm sure if you met Varric, he could recommend several.

[preacher_man]

What I'm saying is I see only the moral decisions you took. Nothing more. So the details of all that are unknown. You still have quite the air of mystery to me that I doubt you will be losing any time soon.

It's actually quite the filter to look through, but I guess it's hard to explain. The reason I have it is to find demons so it isn't meant for prying into people's personal lives.

Well, you really know how to flatter a girl, don't you? The Circle could use one of you. A demon detector would come in handy around there.

I wouldn't be able to tell you. As you might expect I haven't had much practice at flattery.

I am not entirely sure I could work for The Circle, but I would put my skills to use either way.

Are you sure you couldn't be seduced by a demon? Swayed with its promises of fortune and fame? Those desire demons can be rather distracting.

[preacher_man]

Fortune and fame aren't something that concern me. If that were the case I wouldn't be a preacher at a small church.

My only desire at the time would be to shoot them.

[sixthings]

Smart man. The last few years, I've had a little too much experience dealing with demons. I miss the old days when I only had to worry about killing ordinary people.

"I imagine it wouldn't be as much of a challenge though." Honestly it was weird talking to someone else who has killed both men and demons before. Granted he wasn't proud of the former.

"I prefer the challenge of a bar's best and worst beer. Or a storm at sea. Demons are a challenge I'd happily live without."
