Wow, mun. I can't say I'm the greatest hero just yet, but I'll try to live up to it!

Um. But do we really have to use this icon? It's embarrassing, and I think people might get the wrong idea.
professorlionface: (I'll take your word for it.)

Well. It is a troubling pedigree.

But there are many among us who have conquered its like. I see no reason you can't do the same.
professorlionface: (Sounds questionable)

If you believe you can do it, what right have I to tell you otherwise? Wouldn't it be better to stand with you in the attempt?

Your struggle is that of mutantkind, condensed into an almost metaphor of one young man against his peers. They're afraid because you're different, because you're powerful, but you still have the courage to prove them wrong. We win by defying expectations, being better people than anyone gives us credit for. Never forget that.
professorlionface: (So it would seem.)

[Quentin is a handful, no one really knows how to deal with him properly. All he really wants is the attention.]

Well, if things do turn out poorly, I think it could at least partly be a failure on our part to show you the right path. Anyone who thinks otherwise, that it's all a foregone conclusion, that evil is genetic, is fooling themselves.

Trust me, I know genes, and evil is hardly hereditary.
professorlionface: (What was I thinking?)

[It's a sad state of affairs, he used to be a model student before the drugs.

But that statement gives Hank pause. This is why it was a bad idea to let Logan think he's the headmaster.

The best thing I can attribute that to is, well, short-sightedness. Some people are very accustomed to a certain role, and transitioning to a different one hasn't been...graceful. It can lead them to stampede like a spotted zebra might.

A little, yes. Some of them aren't really accustomed to things that don't involve war, like, say, running a school.
professorlionface: (Always hidden depths to consider...)

And that much really should be, but it isn't a simple world we live in, and some people like the overcomplicate it more than is right.
professorlionface: (I find myself brimming with thoughts.)

Well, I think trying to understand people can be important. But more important is doing what you must for your own well-being. You can't let your understanding get in the way of that.
professorlionface: (Well...that's something.)

To a degree. But you can't let that make you believe you also aren't important. After all, the longer you're able to continue, the more people you will be able to save.
