I guess you're right. It just seems like you guys have all this history with the teachers that I don't really get. And considering what I do know about them ... I'm curious.

...I won't tell you what he told me but I'm pretty sure you can figure it out on your own. I was his last star student in the old school and if you don't know what I did at the last school then clearly they haven't put me in the text books yet.

Yeah and I was also Mister Do no Harm until I decided it was all a pointless waste of my time.

You apparently don't know the story, do you? I guess people really only remember the whole take-over on the United Nations.

I am still kind of new, and I'm not sure I even understand the things I was involved with. None of it made sense at the time, and it still doesn't.

How is not doing harm a waste of time? I mean, you go out of your way to cause trouble. Isn't that more of a waste?

[He doesn't think he would, but the whole idea of Quentin as star pupil is too weird to ignore.]

I was tired of being promised a future that wasn't going to happen without action and when we should have been taught to take action we were taught to sit on our hands and act like nothing ever happened.

But taking action doesn't mean turning bad. Heroes take action. They're action heroes!

You mean Doctor Sabahnur? [Oh boy wow that sounds impressive.] I could teach a class on heroing. Your past self might even be a good role model for the students.

[He's actually not trying to needle Quentin with that comment. It just follows logically from the idea of him being a teacher and peeking in on past Quentin.]

That's a good idea. He can point out all the best sights.
