Captain's Log, Guybrush Threepwood
You know, you'd think ridding the seas of the Ghost Pirate LeChuck and saving the Governor would be enough to make one a Mighty Pirate™.
Not that I'm not a Mighty Pirate, I know I am, it's just that everyone else doesn't seem to have got the message.
Well, I hope at least your on my side, Mun-person.
Not that I need reassurance or anything, of course not.
It'd be nice to hear some though...if...you know, you feel like saying it.

I'll consider the idea that she's correct.
no subject
Not that Guybrush is afraid...that look on his face is just...
He got a leg cramp at just that moment...okay?]
"Your mun? You have one too? I thought it might be just a...you know, Mighty Pirate™ thing."
no subject
Yes. Everyone here has a mun. It's not a Mighty Pirate™ thing. It's just how we are even capable of being here to begin with. They function as what psychics would call a medium, for us.
*She tilts her head.*
...Did you not notice?
no subject
[You're convinced by that, right? Please say you are...
Finally.]
"Noticed what exactly?"
no subject
So you haven't noticed, or you're playing dumb.
*Please oh please don't be dumb, Guybrush....! And her mun's giggling. Great.*
no subject
[He tugs on his rather sparse beard, nervously.] "Er, did you just say physic? I haven't had the best luck with them..."
no subject
[Victor's just being a little teasing there.]
Not that what you've accomplished isn't impressive, though. I'm sure a lot of people are grateful you've done what you have.
no subject
And these leg cramps...always happening at the wrong time.
Guybrush takes a close look at this fellow, because he's lanky....really lanky.
Finally, he decides the other man isn't a ghost...no blue aura for one thing, so replies.]
"Law? Ha! Mighty Pirates™ don't care about what side of the law they're on." [He puffs out his chest.
It only lasts for a moment.]
"You'd think that, wouldn't you? I'm not sure that they do..."
no subject
Guybrush's declaration, however, makes him smile.]
Don't they? I though pirating was all about plundering and pillaging. Things usually associated with not following traditional laws.
And don't they? That's a shame. [He means that too.]
no subject
But all is forgiven! A sympathetic ear! Even Elaine has stopped giving him one!]
"It is. I mean, it was no easy feat ridding the world of LeChuck. I've still got scars! But does the rest of the Carribean care? Noooo. Just the other day someone said to me 'Oh yeah, but what have you done lately?' Can you believe that?"
no subject
The comment about scars gets a wince of sympathy.]
Oh dear, ouch. And really? Goodness, you think getting rid of a ghost pirate would be enough for some time. And it doesn't sound like you've taken up pillaging in his place.
no subject
The fact that said scars were from Guybrush’s own obtuseness is neither here nor there.]
"Exactly!" [Frown.] "Except...that's a good point. I haven't done any treasure hunt-ery since my Three Trials. I've even stopped carrying my shovel around!"
no subject
Victor frowns thoughtfully.]
Well, maybe it's time to pick up your shovel and start again. I can't recommend ransacking any ships, but maybe investigating the islands for hidden chests and the like?
no subject
"You're right! I've been cooped up on Melee Island too long! It's time to cast my fate to seas and seek my fortune!"
no subject
no subject
OMG! Murray! Although my Guybrush hasn't met him yet
Of course Guybrush does his best to cover, fumbling for his sword...where did he put it?
Damn.
Well! He's a Mighty Pirate™ and he'll face down this creature from Hell.]
"I see you've heard of me. Prepare to die!"
no subject
[Unless...a clack of the jaw. Unless the scrawny pirate doesn't know him yet or bumbled into some sort of voodoo forgetting curse. This will be fun. A little cackle before he speaks again.]
Know that you now face the very...FACE of TERROR! Bwahahaha!
no subject
Although that's sort of starting to wear off... Because let's face it a cackling disembodied skull is more funny than fearsome.
The mortal enemy line raises an eyebrow.]
"My mortal enemy? Can't say I recognise you..did you lose weight?"
no subject
no subject
"And you’re hardly the face of evil. I made a papier mache that was scarier looking."
no subject
You don't know who you're talking to. Cower in fear foolish mortal, for you are speaking to Murray! The mighty demonic skull and I will end you with the teeth of hell itself!
no subject
"LeChuck would have kicked you halfway across the Carribean! I'm the one who got rid of him, he quaked at the mere sight of me."
[He totally did! Sure, it was from laughter, but it was quaking nonetheless.]
"The teeth of Hell huh? Didn't sign up for a decent dental plan, then?"
no subject
no subject
"And exactly how many pirates have succumbed to those teeth of yours?"
no subject
no subject
[Poor Murray...Guybrush is starting to just find you amusing!]
no subject
no subject
"Yeah, that's not gonna happen. But you know, you'd make a great lookout."
no subject
no subject
"I don't know...are you any good at treasure hunting?"
no subject
no subject
"Were you alive when you found your way in there? Because I’d rather be a live Mighty Pirate™."
1/2
2/2
Re: 2/2
"Yeah, you kind of need legs to be a Mighty Pirate™. I guess you can just...roll wherever you need to go."
Possibly late... I literally just started playing Morgan yesterday!
[Why did her stupid mun have to send her to some weird place where the Blade of Dragotta was taken away!?]
No that's fine! I just made Guybrush a few days ago myself!
But then-]
"Wait, what?!"
no subject
[It's not as if Guybrush was the one who got knocked out by a barrel!]
It’s so cool seeing a Morgan muse! I'm playing the 5th game for the first time right now.
"The Marquis De who?!"
[Guybrush puts up his two non-pox infected hands.]
"I think you've confused me with someone else."
I picked her up since I wanted a fighter for my game. It's fun and I love her intro scene!
[She stared when he put up both his intact hands.]
What!? How did you get your hand back!?
[And why did he look younger than she remembered?]
Her intro is indeed totally epic!
"Look, I really think you've got the wrong person." [Giving Morgan a close look, he's pretty sure she means business.] "Er...sorry for the trouble?"
Are you past the beginning of chapter 3 yet? Don't want to accidentally spoil anything for you.
Are you saying you're not Guybrush Threepwood? [He certainly looked like Guybrush or his younger brother. But Morgan had never heard of her idol having a brother.]
I just finished Chapter 5 last night. Soooo epic!
"Must be two of us....heh, that's funny."
Yeah, the ending was awesome! Although I felt bad for Guybrush getting thrown all over! Ouch!
Poor Guybrush indeed! He can sure take a punch though!
"Is that your idea of a joke? Very funny. Who are you really?"
[Elaine is a touchy subject...best steer clear, Morgan.]
I've got to replay the earlier ones sometime. It's been some years & I don't remember those as well.
I'm insulted you'd forget. [Was he trying to mess with her by pretending he didn't remember?] I am Morgan LeFlay, Mighty Pirate Hunter TM!
[But it wasn't as impressive without her sword.]
You must! I'm replaying the first one now - Special Edition with voices and everything!
He gives a careless shrug.]
"Well like I said, you've got the wrong pirate. I don't even know if I'm a mighty one anyway."
