On Events At Valar Tonight/This Morning
First of all, thank you. I think the last couple weeks really, REALLY proved that I didn't belong there, and when you saw a way to let me go out with appropriate fanfare and melodrama that showcased the awesome stuff I've taught you about writing in the last year and a half...you went for it and you made it epic and awesome as you could.
I guess I kinda feel bad for Ollie, since you made him have to take me down and everything, and to go back to the rest of the mission group all relatively normal whilst carting my corpse around and everything but, you know. It'll be as good for him as it will be for me. We need to not be in the same game with each other and I need to be in a game with one of the "adults" who are still adults to ME, preferably an Ollie or Dinah, but I'll take anybody really, who is willing to sit me down for a really, really long time and help me work through the clone stuff, the abandonment and attachment issues, and everything else, before I try to be anywhere anything like normal again.
You did the right thing letting me go, and I'm glad you gave Ollie the closure HE needed after all. He deserved that after all he's tried to do for me and I think this way, he'll have peace a lot sooner.
For a situation that took you by surprise when the first season ended and I was already in a game, you've done incredibly well handling me, my moods and everything else. Moving forward, after I've had, maybe the summer, to relax, I'd rather go somewhere totally canon next time. Turns out I really need my 'family' around.

Yeah, really kinda does. I mean, good run and all but... We lost it somewhere around....April I think...and never looked back from it really. But yeah. Perspective. And stuff.
Definitely glad. Being free is kind of awesome.

Though Wally here helped. And so did the other version of you.
So, I'm basically saying. We're here to help each other out. It's what friends do.
no subject
See, my usual habit is to bounce around getting angrier at stuff, and her. So it was better in the long run, I think.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I did have some friends who helped along the way. It was a good thing in the end.
no subject
I am glad, though. All alone's really not a good option.
[And he knows some of that.]
no subject
That was profound. Careful I don't go ahead and get my head turned or something after that.
No, no it isn't. it's much better now, I think.
no subject
[And, since they have repeated the 'good? better now' thing a few times now and Dick trusts that Roy'll let him know if something changes...]
... think she'll like the trapeze? Lian, I mean.
no subject
...You are not seriously putting my future child on one of those...
Wait. Who am I talking to. Of course you are. [And Roy's more amused at the prospect than anything else. That's probably pretty telling, really. Considering he's had dreams about taking an INFANT crime fighting though? Who is he to talk, really? ]
no subject
Considering her parents, I'm pretty sure she's going to have no problem with things like balance and flexibility, after all.
no subject
I'm just gonna say never let me see it first hand because I'll probably freak out. That whole protective streak thing.
Though you're right. She'll probably be awesome in the business.
no subject
She'd be spectacular.
no subject
Thank you for making me feel a lot better about that.
I'm gonna raise the most badass ninja in the world. Clearly. Well, you'll probably be the ninja part but.
no subject
[... laughs.]
Well, I'll certainly help out. Between her mom and her aunt and me, Lian'll be undefeatable.
[Beat.]
Unless she wants to go for ballet or something.
no subject
Ballet. Oh wow. There's a thought.
...Alfred. Alfred probably knows people.
no subject
[Only compared to Batman, but still.]
I'll ask him.
no subject
I'm just busy being floored by the idea.
[Well hell, compared to BATMAN, sure... ]
Contingency plans. Just in case.

We don't need the world to hear about the new ballet based superhero in town YET. I mean give the time and all, insert eyedart here.

toe shoe based weapons on the other hand though. THOSE could be built now...
And even if that's not LIAN'S thing surely there's a dancer out there who wants to take the next step....
no subject
Yeah, there is. Her name is Natasha Romanoff.
[... what. In this place, he can know such things!]
no subject
Okay, point. Good universe team up for the win?
[Seems legit. They know that muns exist after all!]
no subject
[Cheshire.]
I realized that was a silly question.
no subject
I? Just burst out laughing that it took you that moment, even though it WAS a moment to recall that. I think we ought to be safe. Slightly.
I mean I'm friends with a Barton so...
there MIGHT be an in.
no subject
[And Dick just MIGHT be sticking his tongue at Roy. Because he will be the best role model for Lian, amirite?]
[Then he quirks his mouth.]
She's got a Barnes or two over here. [Or five.] I'm sure we'll manage it.
no subject
The batfamily are mortal after all? Well color ME surprised.
[Totally the best.]
Sounds like a plan then between us all.
