Of course. As the personal student of Equestria's leader, Celestia, I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't get to know about your world and people.

In the old days, it was called hekka. Now, it's loosely understood as 'magic'. You see my horn? It lets me move things from a distance into being here, so long as the objects aren't huge or exceedingly heavy. I've been practicing since I was small. This is no effort for me, really.

I see. Is this ability considered to be physiological in nature, or are its origins supernatural?

It's physiological. It's also genetic to be a unicorn, and have the most access to it. There are unicorns, pegasi and ponies, but in times of trouble I've seen a pony teleport and a pegasus fly through stone. When we're in danger, it activates in all but a very select few ponies.

I attended a school for magic where we worked to understand magic better. If you go to Equestria, you should stop there.

I would be honored to do so. I should also like to extend an invitation for yourself or any other representative of your people, to visit any number of the places of education and study on my world, where perhaps similar topics are being considered.

I will extend the invitation to the Princesses, then, and tell them that Vulcan may be a possible ally. We have been reaching out and attempting to make more alliances lately. I just wish I could explain hekka better to you, but while I have natural talent, I'm not a scientist. Sorry.

Well, I'd like to know what Vulcan is like. Equestria is mostly forests, though we do have some deserts. But ever since the pegasi learned to use magic to control the weather, things aren't as diverse as I've been told they were hundreds of years ago. What's it like to be on a natural planet?

Vulcan is a quite arid planet. The majority of the surface is desert, although there are places of vegetation. While we do not control the weather as you do, it would be inaccurate to call Vulcan a natural planet in this regard, as there are mechanical systems in place to prevent some of the more destructive meteorological events from occurring.

If the majority of the surface is desert, what do your people eat? Are you herbivores like my people?
