After reading the last issue of "Masks"

Hehe, crime does take many forms, and its roots have many twists and turns. However it shall always be stamped out.

Also, I believe the saying which you had been thinking of is "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." No wiser words could be given, remember them well, mun. Lest you too succumb to crime's sinful, bitter fruit.

Crime doesn't pay in the end, does it? You'd think people would learn eventually.

It is an unfortunate fact of life. Those who have been faced with a problem tend to believe that becoming a problem is the only way to solve their own. Most will not hear, or see to reason as a result.

Some do, though. Once in a blue moon, you'll see one of 'em try to get on the straight and narrow path. Some even stick with it for good. But most villains? You can't really bargain with them.

Indeed, and that is why Justice must be brought to them in the harshest way possible. Burning and stamping it out so that it cannot regrow.

Woah now, buddy. They might be, y'know, villains and all, but let's not go overboard here! You come down on them like the fist of God, that makes you no better than they are. It takes finesse. Style.

...Or punching your way up the hierarchy and bashing in the head honcho's teeth, if you feel like being dramatic about it.

So you throw 'em in jail. -Actual jail, not the kind they bust out of every week. And you let the ones who want to repent try their hand at superheroing and see if they mean it or not. [Somebody's kind of a whippersnapper today, old man.]

Unless they are given life sentences, they will escape in time. Hell is a far better prison for those who do true injustice towards others.

You may know about everyone's crimes. But do you know their good deeds, their pains, their fears? Do you know the reasons and the rhymes?

You have a bad case of the worst and most destructive kind of evil--the kind that talks about the greater good, and seems to think it serves the same.

I've been there, and it's really quite sad. But I was lucky; I eventually realized that I was really only doing it because I'm batshit insane. You should try it, it might be good for you.

My actions have been what madness has made them, and my hearts have better things in them than yours. I feel love, though its twisted. I regret, though probably not as much as I should. I hope and dream and desire, and all kinds of other thing that you've forgotten.

Oh, by the way--you should do something about that nervous tic of yours. Real people aren't supposed to laugh like that.

And we are all happy that you had come to such a conclusion on your own. Quite the leap when one considers your megalomania.

I'm just surprised you haven't committed suicide yet. Your mission in life is to kill evil people, but you're evil. Suicide would be a much simpler way of doing that.

It all depends on the person and what works. [Quite a few times all he had to do to bust someone was to just make a few calls and visits. So he isn't always gloomy. Just freaking scary as hell]
