That Clark seems to be having a really tough time. Do you think it would help if we talked to him? You know... let him know it gets better? I have a feeling I'd be doing most of the talking. He doesn't really seem like the chatty sort, does he?

Anyway, I think you should give him a chance. Anyone would be pretty private with a background like that. We're both writers--you have to give in at least a little to genre. Of course that Clark's going to be darker. You knew you weren't reading a comic book or watching a romantic comedy. I mean, I'm flattered you like me better, naturally. But there's room for more than one Last Son of Krypton, right?

Everyone I guess. There seems to be more Clarks and Supermans within this place, which confuses me greatly. You....are me, right?

Looks like it. Uh. You know... if we're not being subtle anymore, I guess. But it seems pretty clear the guy in the movie is us but not, and from what I can gather, you're also not me but a lot closer.

Oh, I'm subtle alright. Since it's you- me, I'm talking to, it's ok. Only you can hear this, as I'm using a high pitch so that other's won't know I'm- we're Superman. Unless, people already know you are Superman in disguise. Everyone around me doesn't, except my folks.

Oh no, of course not. I'm still just Clark, to everyone but Mom and Dad. But somehow, we're a different version from this other Clark? And still others... Like some sort of alternate universe.

That doesn't explain there being you and me, though.
