[ Gripping onto the knife that she hid in one of her pockets tightly, she feigns a gentle smile, knowing that if she's going to beat someone who's going to do something as hideous and ugly as that, she'll have to figure out their weakness. Normally, she's one to jump in and slice them open, but now, more than ever, she's cautious. She needs to plan things meticulously, otherwise she'll be the one dead and this girl will take her spot... and take Yukki away from her!

[ Of course, he also knows that's not necessarily what she meant by 'protect.' ] I think it's a lot better than the last place we were at together. [ She knows that even though they can't die twice, the pain of the 'death' actually hurts. And she doesn't want him to feel any sort of pain, whether it be emotional or physical. But she does agree, it's better than the last place. ]

[ After all, she wasn't one of the top students for nothing. But then you mention her name. She knows who this 'Haruhi' is, a little (actually, all she knows is that she's a girl who can interfere with her love life, really), but it's not something that she likes. ]
