Embarrassing him at [community profile] themainframe

Hey dude,

We...gotta talk.

Ok, I get it. Surprise nudity is usually funny. I mean half the Japanese comic books you own use that as a running gag.

...BUT DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO HAVE ME FLASH THE WHOLE NETWORK?!! There are so many girls there! And Terra especially! And we JUST had that whole Sex Ed post thing...

And more...why are you so convinced I'd look sexy in girl's shorts? I mean...I know I've got a great butt. I use it all the time. But you think my legs are built like that?

...I'm starting to worry you're thinking of gender bending me dude. And that is NOT ok! Let's be clear. I am a boy. I like being a boy.

Come on dude...don't be like that.

*He smiles weakly, giving the 'cat' creature a pat.* And do you have all their abilities? Even if you didn't know about them beforehand?

I could find pictures of some animals if you'd like. Although you'd owe me a favor if I found a useful one.

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-24 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
I could find out, if you want. There are creatures out there that any shapeshifter would love. *He smiles, bright and mad.* Discants and illithidae and tsochari and culthriflah . . .

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-25 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Some of them are pretty creepy, mind. Illithidae, for example. And some are seriously dangerous--but that's a good thing, right? It's useful to be dangerous.

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-25 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
And of course they're good for fighting.

*He goes through his pockets for a bit, then pulls out some pictures.* Cessirid, neolithid, squibbon, daggerwrist, gug . . .

All of them are from one story or another, BTW

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-25 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
*The cessirid looks like a slimy dog with a squid on its face. The neolithid is a 50-foot purple worm with tentacled lips. The squibon is a vaguely monkey-like blob with long, boneless arms. The daggerwrist is a big scaly flying squirrel with mantid forelimbs and a detachable lower jaw. The gug is squat, with a vertical mouth between its eyes.*

Nice stuff, yeah?

:D

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-25 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the cessirid and the neolithid are related species, and they're nasty cave-dwelling creatures. Squibons and daggerwrists are tree-dwellers, although squibons are more jungle creatures while daggerwrists tend towards oases. I think gugs are cave-dwellers too, but from a very different planet.

Daggerwrists use their forearms as pinions and feed through tubing in that lower jaws of theirs--they use acid to liquify their prey, like certain bugs on earth. Cessirids and neolithids are psychic, and cessirids have stingers on their tentacles.

I'm not as interested in biology as some people I've known, but I do know a few things about a fair number of species.

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-25 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
*Well he is! Just the craziest as well.*

You have no idea. *Big grin.* Good, isn't it?

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-25 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
What more information would be useful? Neolithids are the result of a parasitic species never finding a host--usually they wind up looking like the host, but with added slime and tentacles, but if they never get a host they just keep growing.

Daggerwrists eat a small creature that looks like a mole with a probosis and flaps instead of feet and drinks sap from the daggerwrist's clawmarks. Squibons are essentially octopus that learned to climb trees and move in a weird sort of summersault. *He grins.* There are other, even weirder creatures I could show you, but I'm not sure you could even become some of them.

How much pizza can you afford? Some of my powers take a lot of energy to use . . .

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-25 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds good.

*Eyeroll.* Define 'starving.' Because if you don't start eyeing passersby afterwards, you're better off than I am.

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-26 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose that makes sense--you must like animals a lot.

Just be glad you don't turn into plants, then.

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-28 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
So how do you deal with instincts when you become a carnivore?

[personal profile] ofdrumsthesound 2013-05-28 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
*He grins.* Shame I don't have that power, I'd make a good carnivore. Hell, I am a good carnivore.

Of course, insanity is involved in my case.
