The warm welcome was heartening, I must admit, but that is not enough to placate me. Forgive me, for though others have spoken these words in the past, I must repeat them. Do not forget the duties I must fulfill. You understand all that I mean by this, just as you understand that I can hardly fulfill them in this place as things stand.

It is not be your intention to keep me from them, I know. But that does not mean it unsettles me any less.
