[There's a painful pause as she reaches the Virgo symbol.]

Ultima, The High Seraph. The first to fall.

Exodus, the Judge-Sal (Libra). Cuchulainn, the Impure (Scorpio). Shemhazai, the Whisperer (Sagitarius). Adrammelech, the Wroth (Capricorn). Famfrit, the Darknening Cloud (Aquarius). And Mateus, the Corrupt (Pisces).

These twelve were brought low and were contained within Auracite. These Auracite, in turn, grant extraordinary power to those that possess the stone. Yet ... the stones themselves nevertheless contain the potential for great evil. Should the wrong heart seek to use them.

Members of the Church of Glabados held them, the seat of religion in Ivalice. Through wont of power or through foolishness, they sought to use the power of the Auracite and fell victim to the Lucavi within.

It wasn't until Ramza Beouvle, whom I follow, fought the Lucavi and slain them that the world was safe. However, in so doing he was branded a heretic, as he struck down a member of the church and heralded heresy of one of the founding principles of the church. Heresy that, no matter how painful it might have been, was true.

As for the stones. He possess the most. However, he gave stones to his most trusted confidants and friends to hold and protect. Ones that he knew would never despair to use it, even were death come to find them.
