Well, you do save the world repeatedly, and there's a few events you haven't gotten to that make people decide to quietly forget your less stellar decisions. As far as legacies go, you get a good one. No one other than your mun remembers you as 'derpy'.

And I'd like to think my legacy isn't all bad either. Although "less stellar" seems to be rating pretty high on the list of imposed titles too. I'm trying to decide which is worse.
