voice testing, post titan's curse
Hey, reality check! I actually have things to do.
Your waffling around doesn't help me, like, at all. And besides, you've got a lot on your plate. Just lemme go, okay?

[ A small grin. ] How've you been otherwise?
no subject
[ for a while there, it wasn't bad. but now annabeth's just kind of bitter. ]
Saying 'I've been better' would be a cop-out, wouldn't it?[ even she can help but smile when thalia grins at her, though. shrugging a little. ] Not much more to say. I'm alone on a horror ship. And besides that, alive.
You look good, though.

What about this horror ship?
no subject
[ gods she missed you. but then she sighs, runs her hand through her hair. ]
The ship's called Tranquility. Space ship, that says its taking us to a way for us to get home. Percy was there for a bit but... [ she presses her lips into a thin line, still not doing well from that. ] It's weird, too. The ship changes, makes it so you can get lost for weeks at a time. It changes to work with your worst nightmares, I've heard. Never get hungry, thirsty...pirates attacked a couple of weeks ago. But yeah, horror ship.

Any word on who's behind it? Anyone we know? 'Cause if you need me, I could ask for permission ...

[ Which was almost why it was worse - he helped her get comfortable there, helped her meet people, make friends, and then he left. Or, more so, the ship took him back home and left her. ]
No, no one we know. No one from our world, actually. [ She gives Thalia a small smile, a sort of thanks. ] Wouldn't want you to end up there anyway. You'd hate it. We're only allowed on certain floors and certain rooms, and you can't even see space unless you go to the flight deck. [ She can't imagine Thalia being cooped up in a space ship all day and night. ]

If I'm a mess in a flying bus, I don't think anyone should be would want to be near me in space. On a horror ship. Just - do what you gotta do to stay safe, alright? And come back to our world safely when your time's done.

I'll make it home, one way or another. There's too much I need to do.
[ A beat, and then: ]
Do you know if you're heading anywhere?
no subject
[ She shrugs, not too fussed with the idea, to be honest. Percy did mention that they had opportunities to meet people they wouldn't otherwise in these new positions. As for Luke, well - he's another story. ]
But I don't doubt you'll pull through. Never without your plans.
no subject
[ tastes change from time to time, annabeth. c'mon now. ]
I'm trying, that's for sure. [ whether or not she's getting anywhere is a different question entirely. ]

You know what? We should do something. In one of those meme things, if you want. Be nice for you to get a distraction and I can stretch my legs a little bit. Say the word.
no subject
[ that gets a little smile out of her. very unlike thalia, that, but annabeth can't really complain. ]
I'll look around, though. I could use a distraction. Did you have anything in mind?
no subject
Maybe different adventures. Been hearing things about visiting other worlds, though no horror ships in space for me, thanks.
no subject
I'll try and find something to your liking, then.
[ annabeth nods a little at that, thinking back on her own experiences with memes. ]
Guess it'd depend on the world you'd want to visit. A lot of them aren't very...nice. Monsters and problems of their own. [ a.k.a. basically every meme on bakerstreet that doesn't involve sex. ]

What, like, ghosts? We can take on ghosts. Or one of those dumb alternate universe things where we own a coffeeshop or something.
no subject
I was talking more zombie-apocalypse sort of things, but ghosts and coffee shops I think we can handle.
no subject
Though, uh, on the subject of zombies, I can totally take them down too. You aim for the head, always. Easy.
no subject
[ all you demi-gods without phones. what is annabeth gonna do with y'all. ]
It's not the zombies I'm worried about. It's the surviving afterward.
