Wrong answer because every single one of them has selective hearing. I've narrowed it down to explosions, floods and agreeing to go along with everything they say since the opposite never works.

I think I'm entitled to my first twenty tantrums as far as the muns go, right? I mean, that's reasonable, in my opinion.

Oh, you know, the usual. I was stuck on a space ship for awhile there. The Underworld before that, or some version of it. And an island of way worse origin's than Circe's, so we're not even going to go there. Don't ask me to elaborate. [ nope nope nope. ] Threaten to spear anyone alive yet?

Gods, how long have I even been away from camp? Seems like it's only been a week or so.

[ But, hey, Thalia's willing to keep up with the niceness so long as Percy is - and so long as Percy manages not to make a mess of things. ] Judging from your recent shenanigans, I'd cap off my writer complaints at about a hundred and call it even.

Honestly? No idea. Time here doesn't follow any rules I've been able to find. It might actually be a week for you. [ demigods here are of all shapes and sizes ( like home ) and they're all arrogant ( like home ) and every one of them hates being told what to do ( like home ). he's going to shrug and not think anything of it because thinking equals headaches. ] It's not always bad. I mean, you get to make new friends you never would have met otherwise and see the ones you never got to say goodbye to, or whatever.

[ and aside from going crazy in space, it's usually a calm environment. ]

[ If it's just about the same old, same old (well, at least what had become familiar to Thalia since her tree days), then she can take it all in stride. She just won't be happy about it, but then again, she would be Thalia without that rebellious streak.

There's maybe a spark of hope in her expression. ] There's a possibility of seeing people I wouldn't see normally? Like, in our normal flow of time?

[ all things considered, their lives don't leave a ton of room for joy. they all shoulder it as best they can and take advantage of the little things. he has to stop and think about her questions, not extensively, but wistfully. Percy doesn't want to mislead her or get her hopes up on certain people but it's not like he can withhold what he's learned either. ] I've seen just about everyone, except maybe Chiron.

[ and his parents but that's not necessarily shocking for a quest--that's what this is, sort of. ] My final answer is yes. They might be different than you remember but they're still the same person.

[ There's a lot of danger in "what-ifs" but how could she not hold onto this small hope? She hates it, but she holds onto it anyway, though she does temper the eager look on her face with a purse of her lips. ]

Uh-huh. [ It isn't quite a frown anymore, but she does look thoughtful though she keeps her stormy gaze fixed on Percy. ] Guess you're not doing so bad without me, huh?

[ never a good sign. she's staring at him, warring between expressions and the curiosity itches at the back of his mind. he's older but he's not necessarily wiser and so really, it's only a matter of time before he steps on the wrong stone and sends the temple crumbling down around them. or gets electrocuted, on a more realistic note.

would it be her mother or Luke? would she want to see Bianca or Zoe? ] It's hard to crash and burn when you've got Annabeth around. She plans for everything. [ he hates hearing i told you so because she's always right but you can't hate facts when they're the things that save your butt. ] How's being a huntress working out for you?

[ Whoever she's thinking about, the first face to come to mind - she doesn't let on. Instead, Thalia tries to shake the look off, fixing a more friendlier gaze on her face. Eternal maidenhood or not, she had been through a lot with Percy and she will let on that she is happy to see him. ]

It's -- great. I can just feel that this is the right path. Never been surer. [ The transition had been easier than expected, but it doesn't stop her from missing camp. A beat. ] How's Goat Boy?
