canon is 'dodger', but from the early chapters of the novel.
I think we've made a bit of a mistake, sir. You see, sir, I don't really fit in with the rest of the lot up here, now do I, sir?
[ He begins to shift a bit, patting around his mun - and likely taking a few things from pockets as he sees fit. ]
They're all... how should I put it, sir? Honorable gentleman, as it were. Policemen and the like. And not just any sorts of policemen, sir - no, no, they're not nearly so dumb as them, now are they? Been educated and what not! Now, you know me, sir - or at least you sure seem to know plenty about me, sir, in an almost unnerving kind of way - and you can see why that might be putting me a bit on edge, can't you?
[ He holds up his hands, backing away a bit. ]
Not that I do nothin' worth angering any policemen, that is! No, sir, not me. A tosher I might be, sir, but that's not real illegal, is it? Pickin' up the pieces that people drop isn't really steain' the way I lookit, and I think anyone'd be inclined to agree with me, don't you, sir? But... all the same! I'm different than them and they might be tryin' to pin things on me if stuff goes missin' even if I've got nothin' to do with it. It's the way these educated types work, sir! Blamin' all the bad luck on the poor lad who don't know how to write more than his name.
So flattered as I am, sir, and honored that you see what a great bloke I am and all - it'd be nice, really, if you'd let me be on my way then. Not takin' me to any of these "games" as you're callin' them. No, sir, I think I'd much rather stay right in London where I know all the rules. Thank you all the same, sir.
[ A beat and it seems his plight has done absolutely nothing. Oh, that's just grand. ]
Well, blimey, will you at least tell me you'll think about it, then? I'll give you back your keys and everything if you do.

CR I never knew I wanted til now
[... And yet, she actually means that as a compliment.]
B-limey. [Huge grin.] We're gonna haffs to work on those manners of yours honey. Like for a start, with the ones who do the typing? Lose em. Doesn't work. Once they get it in their head there's no stopping them.
You're welcome
[ He's peering at her because he's not sure if she's serious ] Wasn't usin' the manners to try and talk them out of nothin', miss, just the way I am. [ Manners is how you trick people into not realizing you're stealing from them. Gosh, Kenzi. ] But the advice is appreciated all the same.

[Kenzi has boobs. Manners be damned!] Yeahh about that. I fall down on the side of screw manners when it comes to dealing with the peeps who like to send us to crazy places. [A beat.] Has he told you about the sex island yet? Cause he's already thinking about it. Tr-ust me. Oh and now, he's totes thinking about how you and I would have ah-mazing sex, which, true, but I'm involved so it was kind of a given.
[No you really can't tell when she's being serious or no. Often, it's a little of both.]

[ Sex island. And sex with this lady. WELL THEN. He's not 100% opposed to this because she's certainly pretty, but -- then he'd have to admit that he's not really experienced all around and that would just be embarrassing. ] Didn't mention nowhere at all to me, really. Just been talkin' about gettin' a feel for me first. Nothin' about any "sex island" brought up at all and certainly not about sleepin' with no one like yourself, miss. Might be a bit forward, given that I don't even know your name and all.
