I waggled my fingers for her. Neither greasy nor overweight. Actually a bit bony, lately. Hmm. I quickly put them away.

"I never got into baseball that much. I do like cheeseburgers, but only from Burger King."

It's hard to like baseball when you associate it with having the balls pelted at you at bone-breaking velocity until you learn a good enough shield to block them. I wasn't going to ruin the laugh I'd just achieved for that, though.

[She shrugs.] I don't always eat cheeseburgers, but when I do? I prefer them homemade. Baseball is...slow. Pastoral. A little boring. The bats and wounds made with them, however, are something with which I am more familiar.

[Adele quirks a brow at the fingers, long, bony, quickly hidden.] You've excellent hands for the piano. Hold your hand up?

[Adele takes that hand between her own petite ones, turning it over to check his joints. One part clinical, one part idle curiosity. Once she was satisfied that yes, he'd be an excellent piano player if he trained himself, she let it go.]
