Sort of Voice Test, About upcoming Drive Event

I've never seen you before. What am I doing here? Why do I need to talk to you? My voice is just fine. I'm talking to you, right? So why does it need to be tested?

[Trixie gasps.]

Is something wrong with it?

...No? Uh... I still don't get why it needs to be tested.

A spaceship?

[Trixie's eyes go wide.]

You mean a ship in space? I've never been there before! You think my parents can let me go see? Or can they come with?

[A moment passes and Trixie tilts her head a little in confusion.]

What do you mean I'm going to have myself as a parent? I don't think that can happen, unday. The future? What's it like in the future? What does my cutie mark look like?

Are you lost too, ms. pony? Someone said I'm supposed to visit a "spaceship," too.

Um...

[Trixie looks down at the ground.]

Yes, I'm lost. I wanna go back to Los Pegasus. I don't know where this spaceship is, um... What are you anyway?

Me? I'm a human. Are you a unicorn? Because you're a pretty unicorn.

...I don't know where the spaceship is, either. If it's in space, then isn't it really far away?

Yes! I'm a unicorn!

[Trixie tries to be flashy, gripping her cape and waving it around a little. She doesn't have the hang of it just yet.]

I'm pretty? Thanks! Do you like my cape and hat?

[Trixie looks up into the sky.]

I think so. How are we going to get up there?

(Even so, it's enough to completely fascinate the young girl.)

I do! It makes you look like a wizard! Can you do magic?

(Kreutzer looks up as well, thinking about it.)

I don't know. Even if we could fly, I don't think we can fly through space. It's space!

...I think we'll need another spaceship.

Yes, I've been practicing it!

[She demonstrates by levitating a nearby small rock. She struggles with it a bit, but in the end, she's still able to lift it up.]

Ta dah!

[Trixie thinks for a while.]

...And where do we get a spaceship?

(Which of course gets plenty of applause from the young girl.)

That's amazing! I wish I could do that, but magic is really hard...

(Even as she says that, Kreutz has a wide smile on her face.)

I don't know...I would ask daddy, but he's always so busy doing other things.

[Trixie is surprised at the applause from the human. Nonetheless, she recovers and puffs her chest out. Beware, the beginnings of her ego are thus born. he gently sets the rock down.]

Well, you're not a unicorn. My teacher says only unicorns can do magic.

[She lifts up her hat to reveal a small horn.]

See?

We'll just ask your mommy. Or my mommy or daddy.

(This is that age when they're so influential anyway, so oops. She had no idea it'd lead into her huge ego.)

Really? But people back home can do magic and they're not unicorns...daddy said I can learn it too. He even said good luck!

(Though the poor girl isn't aware of the sarcasm in that wish.

Kreutzer stares with fascination at Trixie's horn and for a moment reaches out to touch it, but stops herself from doing so. What if unicorns find that rude?)

Maybe your mommy or daddy would know...my mommy went away a long time ago.

[Yeah, Trixie just sort of backs away from that hand. Because what are hands? Some sort of superthing?]

Huh? I didn't know that. I'm going to have to tell my teacher about that. What kin of magic can you do? I can levitate things!

I'll go ask them! ...O- once I know where they are.

[Trixie looks around a bit. This place DEFINITELY isn't Los Pegasus.]

Where'd your mommy go?

(Yeah, they're very very different from hooves. Like, totally different.)

I can't do a lot, but I can do this!

(Kreutzer sets her doll down on the ground and closes her eyes, holding her hand over it and concentrating really hard. For a moment, the doll sits up and waves at Trixie, then falls back to being inanimate. She opens her eyes and catches her breath.)

It's really tricky, but one day I'm going to perfect it!

(While pondering the question, she picks up her doll.)

I'm not sure. Where does someone usually go when they "passed away?" Daddy never tells me where she goes after that.

[Trixie's in awe.]

Woah... That was really nice! I can't wait to see when it's perfect!

Hmm... [Trixie goes back to thinking.]

Well, there could be a town named Away, but what's past that?

[Trixie then gasps.]

There could be a spaceship at Away!

(Kreutzer giggles a bit.)

Thanks! I can't wait to see it, either! Maybe you'll be able to levitate anything later on!

(She goes wide-eyed at the suggestion.)

I've never heard of a town named Away, but if they have a spaceship there, then we have to go! Ooh, maybe the spaceship is past Away and that's where my mommy is!

You really think I can?

[Trixie points in a random direction.]

To Away and past Away!

[She's certainly eager to find that spaceship.]

Yeah! If you keep trying really hard at something and never give up, one day it'll come true. I don't think you're supposed to know when, but one day it will!

(Words of wisdom that really come from reading so many fairy tales, but it's encouraging nonetheless. Kreutzer points in the same direction.)

To Away and past Away!

(Soon, she retracts her hand.)

...How far away is Away? is it far far away?

Okay! I'll keep trying!

[Have a determined filly looking determined. But she doesn't have anything to be determined for, so it ends up being pointless and maybe cute.

Trixie blinks a couple times and retracts her hoof as Kreutzer did.]

I don't know. We'll have to find out how far away Away is!

(It ends up being cute through the pointlessness. Confusing, but it works.)

Maybe we should just pick a direction and go that way until we find it! We'll have to hit something eventually, right?

(No Kreutz that is not how you adventure.)

[Trixie nods in affirmation.]

Okay! We'll do that! To Away and past Away for the spaceship!

[Trixie starts trotting along happily. She has no idea where she's going.]

And then to space and beyond!

(Kreutz has no idea where she's going either; she's hoping for Away, but she really has no clue. She's not too concerned about that, though; she's still excited about going on an adventure with a magical unicorn. That's pretty much every little girl's dream.)

I wonder what kind of spaceship they have...maybe it's a really big one to take a lot of people into space!

[Trixie is SURE there's an Away out there somewhere. And they're going to find it! And go see what space is like! Because she can't give up! Also because wandering around like this seems really fun and they can see lots of different things.]

What if it's really really big? Then it could take lots and really lots of ponies on! Maybe even Princess Celestia, too!

(They're totally going to see lots of things while they're on their adventure. What they are, Kreutzer doesn't know...but hey, that's part of the fun, isn't it?)

And then everyone can go into space and have fun! And they can do things like...umm...

(Yeah, she hasn't exactly thought out what to do when they actually get there.)

...like being in space? Since there's no gravity, everything floats!

Well... floating can be fun, right? I think it's like tele- tel- Like when I pick things up with my magic!

Yeah, it's like that! You get to bounce on the walls and since everything floats, you get to pretend you're really really strong and even pick up your parents!

My mun would like you to know that in the future, you are a very talented magician. I couldn't say a thing either way on your cutie mark, though, since I'm blind. But I'm sure it'll be lovely.

[Trixie looks up to the adult in awe.]

You've been to the future? Can you take me there? I wanna see how tal- talen-... I wanna see how good I am, miss, um, Yellow.

[A pause.]

And do you know where I can get a spaceship?

My name is Ruby - before I went blind, my eyes were very red, you see. It's very nice to meet you. And yes, I've been to the future. But I can't take anypony there - I can use magic from olden times to teleport ponies away from danger, though. So if you ever need to get somewhere fast, I can do it.

No, I'm afraid I don't. But it sounds exciting, doesn't it? You'll have to tell everypony about it when you get back after your mun's sent you there. I hope you have fun.

[Usually, Trixie would just ignore the blind thing. However, this is filly!Trixie.]

Is there anything I can do to help you not be blind anymore? Maybe I can learn magic to help you... Oh! Maybe you can teleport me to the spaceship after your eyes are fixed.

I've never been to a spaceship before. What's it like?

I'm not sure. What happened to me isn't a tale for fillies. But I have a good enough life, even without my sight. Don't worry yourself. Healing magic is some of the hardest in the world; I would never want you to strain yourself like that unless it was for something important. You have a good heart, though. Never change, little one.

I've been told that on a ship you can travel to many worlds and meet all kinds of creatures. My mun hasn't been able to find a game for me yet, but those on spaceships seem very adventurous and happy. I'm sure you'll have fun there.

Tale? Like stories? My mommy and daddy are storytellers and I wanna be just like them!

[She then slumps down a little bit.]

But nopony likes any stories I tell them and I'm not very godo at them...

[Even though Trixie's personality will change, her heart doesn't. She'll still be a good pony underneath all the ego that she has yet to gain.]

Different worlds? What hind of worlds? Will they have spaceships? I like having fun

You'll get better at stories. Don't worry. All you have to do is live life a little more, and you'll know more things and be able to tell everypony about them. It just takes time. You'll see.

Well, there are worlds with only humans and no ponies at all, ones with friendly dragons, places with singing plants and plants that grow meat, underwater cities... all kinds of worlds are out there. And more keep being found. You could find material for a hundred stories out there.

How much more life do I have to live to get better at stories?

[Trixie looks at Ruby in awe again, before hopping a little, excited.]

Ooh! Ooh! I can't wait! Maybe I'll even get my cutie mark on the other worlds!

I'm not sure. It'll depend on what you do.

True. After all, while you're out there you'll be exposed to a little bit of everything. You could get it much sooner than you think. [Ruby took forever to get a cutie mark, but she knows she's an exception.]

I want to tell stories to be like mommy and daddy and get everypony to like my stories!

[Trixie latches onto Ruby's leg.]

We should go see these other worlds together, miss Ruby!

Well, I'm not sure if the spaceship you're going to will take a pony like me. But I agree it would be nice to go to other worlds, even though I can't really see them... and it'd be nice to have friends.

I'll have my mun look into it. [She smiles at Trixie's enthusiasm.] I'm sure you'll be a great storyteller. Everypony will want to hear about space.

Huh? Why won't it take you? ...Maybe it's because you don't have friends.

[She gasps.]

I don't have friends, either! Will you be my friend so I can go up on the spaceship!?

Everypony? Wow! I'll tell stories about space then! Once upon a time, there was-...

...Um, there was a... space. In space. ...U- uhm...

[Yeah, see? Trixie doesn't get good until later on in her life.]

It's a canon issue. Er, a rule thing. I'll have to see if I'm allowed.

But of course I'll be your friend. You seem like a very adventurous little filly. I like your attitude.

You'll have to wait until you see space to tell stories about it, though.

Oh... Well, we can change the rules for you to be in, right?

[Trixie smiles brightly.]

Thank you, new friend Miss Ruby! We'll have to go to space soon so I can tell those stories!

I'm not sure. But we'll see. It's up to the mods. Either way, you can always talk to me here if you need a friend.

We will, hopefully. Even if I'm not there, though, I know you will be, and then you can tell me stories about it. So I'm not worried.

Mods...? I don't see why anypony should keep you from coming to the spaceship with me...

[Trixie nods.]

Okay! I bet I'll have lots of stories to tell!
