He found me. I didn't even notice him until a week ago. Poor guy was living off of whatever I threw away, I guess.

[And that wouldn't do. Zack has too big of a heart to let a puppy go hungry.]

So he's stuck with me now. [He winks.] I feel like my luck might be changing!

I've been on my own...since I arrived. I guess I've been missing everyone.

*joking attitude softens* Hn... yeah, that can be hard. 'Specially in the beginnin', yo. People seem t' come an' go here real easily. Kinda surreal.

I can't tell ya it'll get better, 'cuz honestly, I dunno. But ya got yer puppy now, an' I'm sure you'll run inta' some more familiar faces.

[It didn't help that he arrived right after dying.] I saw Cloud and Aerith, but you're right. They were there for barely a day before they disappeared.

[Considering the City's rep, he isn't sure it's the safest place for them.]

All I need is some company to make the ticking go away. [It has been getting progressively louder.] Maybe the pup knew that and decided to do me a favor.

[He ruffles the puppy's ears.] Thanks, Reno.

*feeling awkward; he isn't sure how to bring up Zack's death, or if the SOLDIER before him is even aware of it* Yeah... No problem, man.

It's from the clock. [He frowns faintly.] I saw someone say the ticking gets louder if you live alone.

The... clock. Uh-huh. *sideways stare*

Zack, you sure yer feelin' alright, yo?

It must sound crazy, but there's a big clock tower in the city. It...does things to some of the citizens sometimes. [He scratches the back of his head.] The ticking isn't much to worry about aside from it being annoying.

*starting to dawn on him* Where you're livin' now, huh?

What does it... do t' them? The clock tower, I mean. *uneasy feeling*

Yeah. [Frowning, he thinks back.] I've heard stories of some people going crazy and others not acting like themselves. There's even a rumor that the clock tower is connected to how we arrived in the City in the first place.
