Let me get this straight. [There's a bite to her voice, one that hasn't surfaced in what almost seems like a million years. (Forever.)] You want to give me a weapon, and send me to fight a war in the future?
[Aside from the obvious that her complete lack of grace is about the worst thing that could ever be entrusted with something that could potentially kill someone...--]
No. [She shakes her head. Her voice changes; it grows louder, and a slight edge of emphatic hysteria begins to creep in.] No. I can't... I can't leave Forks. You know I can't.
[It's not the weather that's keeping her there, after all]
And I won't.

[Sigh of disapproval.] I won't push it, but you know what I think about you staying in Forks.
SCREAMS AND TWIRLS 8D
That's what...--
[But then she stops right in her tracks, as if thinking the better of it.]
You know what I think about going to Jacksonville. [It's not harsh, but it's said with a certain kind of finality. Because she knows what's coming. She's made her point, and she doesn't want to discuss it again.]
fffff
[Another sigh, mustache twitching this time. Not a fan of that tone, young lady.] I know, I know. I said I wasn't going to push it. But your mom might.

And now she's here.
After the shock subsides, she allows a small, self-deprecating smile. A quiet chuckle. Things that feel foreign, alien, but that slip out of her regardless.]
She isn't. Clearly.

Bella, your mun can't honestly be thinking of sending you off to a war? It's one thing that mine is looking at sending me there.

I'm pretty sure this is the worst idea I've ever heard.

A wild JRPG villain appears!
[Sure, he could be understanding about the situation, but this is more fun. Sorry.]

She's not all-powerful. [She's just a normal human. Like her. Ordinary in every way. Someone so ordinary doesn't hold a power like that at all.]

here have one more weirdo sans tl;dr for once
what if i provided a small smattering of tl;dr anyway
In one fell swoop, every ounce of breath has been knocked out of her. All it took was that voice, so musical, so perfect in its cadence. The voice her entire existence now hinges upon hearing.
It isn't real; that much is certain. One more hallucination, one more unreal thing to add to the host of them. She doesn't care. She'll do anything to hold onto it. Anything to keep it there just a little bit longer.
Once again, a vague thought enters her mind that she's lost touch with sanity, but once again, she pushes it aside. Right now, everything else is irrelevant.]
I know. [A beat. She swallows down a dryness in her throat. Catches her breath. But even then, she still struggles to get the words out.] I won't. I'll never let her.
[And oh so quietly:] I promise.
THERE ARE YOU HAPPY
You promised.

There's a thing called a spork, as well, but it's not quite so good for jabbing things or people.
