Well gosh. I appreciate y'giving me a voice here young lady. Guess telling yourself not to pick up any more muses isn't going to be enough to get yourself to slow down.

Life is fast paced enough as it is. Heh...Trust me on that. When you're workin' the same job day in and day out, time seems to go faster than a car onna' racetrack. I wouldn't have it any other way, personally, but ahh...'spose it's not for everyone.

Can't be stayin' here too long though you know. I'll have a lot of disappointed youngsters on my hands if I'm not around to open up the arcade.

Your best friend.... I hear she's one of the racers from Sugar Rush. Is that right?

You got it! She's the President, er...Princess, ruler of Sugar Rush, Vanellope!

[While he knew her as the President, he figured Mr. Litwak and the gamers knew her as the Princess, since that was what she was coded to be.]

Right, right, Vanellope! She's real popular with the kids.

Yeah, she's been telling me all about the races she's won! I'm glad she finally gets to race and that the gamers love her!

You know, I was wondering...why she hadn't been around before. The kids told me she just recently got unlocked...

Uh, yeah, about that. It's Turbo's fault she wasn't part of the game from the start, he snuck in and changed the game's code.

He even tried to delete Vanellope, can you believe that?

[That causes the arcade owner to stiffen visibly, a small gasp coming from him.]

W...wait....Turbo? ....but that....that's not even possible.

His console was...removed from the arcade years ago...

[Ralph nods.]

Everybody thought he was dead, but he managed to sneak out in time before you unplugged it.

[He gently scratches his cheek with a couple of fingers.]

I guess he lurked around for a while before he got into Sugar Rush, he must have been pretty good at hiding.

So you mean to tell me....he moved to another game and....tried to take it over?...

[Now that's really hard for him to believe.]

[Ralph gives him a single, serious nod.]

That's right. And, he succeeding in doing so for about, uh...lemme see...I guess about 15 years or so? I don't remember exactly when Sugar Rush got plugged in, it's not usually my sorta thing.

...Gosh. I....I had no idea something like that was going on.

[If he did, he wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway, unfortunately.]

[Ralph shakes his head.]

Nobody did. We all thought Turbo was dead until, well, until not so long ago.

Then we saw him die for sure once things got crazy.

[Litwak grimaces.]

So....so Turbo's...


....really gone?

[Ralph nods.]

Yeah, we think so, anyway. Even though he stuck himself into Sugar Rush's code, nobody's seen him regenerate, so he's likely gone for good.

[To be honest, the man isn't really sure how he's supposed to respond to that. For now, he just...appears indifferent, at least.]

Well I...I'm glad Sugar Rush made it out ok.

Me too. If it hadn't...I woulda lost my best friend, and it would have been all my fault.
