Fall hasn't even arrived yet and you're already complaining about the cold? It's official, you're not worthy of me. And another thing, mun: as much as I like nicknames, calling Sandy "Mermaid Pimp"? Not funny. I didn't need that mental image.

[Stop everything. Did Jack just apologize? Well, yes. He thinks she's complaining about the frost and his cold hand. It worries him that he can't really touch her like he used to. Heck, he still gets tense when hugged.]

[It's frosty and it's cold and who knows what else, but Jack... after the initial shock, he closes his hand around hers. He's actually touching Emma again. And she is okay with it. This is amazing.]

I'm also a three hundred year spirit with a tendency to make things worse. [All that is out of his mouth before he notices. He's lived unfiltered for so long, it's hard to go back to being 'normal' again.

Still holding her hand, he crouches in front of her.] I'm having a second chance with you, and that's something I can't allow myself to ruin.

[Veronica knows who the sandman is but that just makes her incredibly confused.]
