[There is a Cy-bug, Dear Mun, skittering around as if looking for someone. Where are her friends. :c She feels lost.]

[He lowers his head and claw down to the tinier Cy-Bug.]

Heeheee, come to daddy, little one~

[Oh, it's you. B| She doesn't like you. She's going to just squeak and burrow down into the ground, though she's tiny so it's not like... She can get far. She's basically pulling a "I can't see you so you can't see me" kinda thing.]

[He chuckles, attempting to pick up the little bug as she tries to hide.]

[She's going to skitter quickly in thin-air, making lots of high-pitched, rapid squeaks. Some of which may sound like half-syllables to names he might recognize--names he may not like hearing! But she's pretty much helpless like this, and it doesn't help she's only ever eaten candy. Even right now she's sporting a candy cane stripe pattern! Too bad it just looks cute and nothing else.]

[He winces from her shrieks, but quickly makes the effort to ignore it, now holding her in the palms of his large clawed hands.]

Now now, there'th no need for hythhterics! I won't hurt you~
[More closely, he examines her stripes.]

[This is awfully high up for her, and she doesn't have wings yet because... Well, she hasn't grown yet. Yet. But King Candy is still terrifying and she is different from most Cy-bugs since she actually Bonded with someone ~~and AUs suck sometimes~~. But she's not squeaking anymore, just kind of shivering because you are still so very big and intimidating and Not Any Of Her Friends.]

[Slowly, he pets his palm over the top of the tiny bug's head, keeping his sharp fingers away from her.]

Yeth yeth I know, you're thtill young and thith all must be quite frightening to you... But don't worry little one, thoon you'll grow up big and strong, heehoohoo, juth like me~

[Okay that is much better. If she were a cat, she'd be purring. =u= But she's not, so she's just settling. Maybe he's not so bad.]

[The Queen of the Cy-Bugs doesn't personally spend much time with her children, but she would recognize any of them no matter where they were.

She's not exactly the mothering type, as herself and most of her offspring are constructed for war, instead of friendly interaction, but this little one has caught her interest. She seems much different than the majority of her bugs, so the matter is worth investigating.

The Queen trills out a cheerful greeting, making sure to not be too loud for the tiny bug.]

[Oh, it's the Queen. 'v' Sweetie isn't sure how to react because Mom (?) but she's a Good Cy-Bug and her friends and--

It's confusing being bitty sometimes. But she'll trill back nonetheless!]

[Most Cy-Bugs don't have friends, but the Queen doesn't know what Sweetie has been getting into.

She clicks her mandibles in thought, then rumbles out a question full of chirps and whirrs, "How long ago did you hatch?"]
