It's not as if he can claim this is out of character for Maric either, given that his existence alone is proof that his father's "fidelity" was not something to be commended.]

I have a problem when my king decides to abandon his duties, his country, his child and his wife in favor of chasing a pretty woman who happens to be an elf - twice. And I wonder if he's the one who doesn't have some biased judgement about it.

[There is a pause as Loghain is informed by the Narration that this is, in fact, his future daughter that he has heard about. Hawkward, especially since the only company he keeps on a regular basis at the moment is Maric, Rowan, and the Night Elves (most of which are men) so he's fairly certain he hasn't even met whoever her mother is yet.]

[It would figure that he lectures Maric about something then turns around and does it himself. That would be irony at its finest.]
