Okay, so you got my younger self gettin all buddy buddy with Rex? That's cool, he's a pretty good guy. Most of the time, anyway. Not like I got a lot of room to criticize someone having a crazy episode, right?

But don't get any ideas about letting it get all mushy or something. I know, I know -- everyone's gonna be assimilated into Casa de Rex whether they like it or not, but don't start thinking that me gettin' more hugs as a kid is somehow gonna fix the way I am now.

You want me to get all touchy-feely with someone, find a Gwen.

Psh, dude. I learned how to bend in Nautilus from an alien robot war criminal. I also can't stop poking at the living manifestation of chaos and even our resident has-no-heart grump has to deal with me regularly.

So yeah. It won't stop me. ...guess I like a challenge.

Listen, I'm gonna warn you right now, that younger me you're dealing with? He's nuts. Like, completely out of his mind. It ain't really his fault, since at that point I didn't know how to use my powers right. They kinda... make me crazy if I'm not careful.

I can relate, actually. My own powers can get seriously out of control if they're triggered right, which was the start of things going bad in the game right now.

So if younger you has control issues, I might be able to help. At the very least, I sort of understand... Sometimes being able to relate a little goes a long way.

Good luck getting him to listen. But you'll probably have better luck than most. Partially since you can relate, but mostly because right now, you're seriously his favorite person ever.

...At that point, he's never met anyone like him before. It means a lot. He'll try to act tough, but he wants you around.

...and I'd like to stay around. My mun tells me that might be harder once the current plot ends and I get back to my old self again, though. But that doesn't mean I'll give up.
