One of the ones who believes things happen for a reason like there's some great cosmic thing going on and that somehow the universe is responding to everything we say and do.

An entity from somewhere else seemingly infused into the world itself, yes.

My home town had this religious order. Their target result was summoning their Goddess to this world, to rebirth it or some shit. That kind of backfired on them. Spectacularly. Needless to say, I don't think said entity really likes being here. And it definitely doesn't like humans.
