Although it's been ages since you've paid me any notice. I think I saw a cobweb just the other day, as a matter of fact. So, a bit of practice before you get ahead of yourself wouldn't be out of the question.

Oh, no, I shouldn't think so. It's important to have a good amount of clutter lying around. [It keeps customers away.] But I don't think that's the case here.

Bit too early for spring, either way. Isn't it? Maybe some sort of... New Year's Resolution? [That's what they're called, right?]

A New Year's resolution might be a more apt description of the business, yes.

Annoying, mostly. [Harrumph.] She has a very short attention span, the poor dear. But with an infinite capacity towards finding new... distractions.

Ah, yes, it is, isn't it? I barely keep up with them, myself.

Ah, now that does sound familiar. Is it a common affliction among this community, do you think?

You do save yourself a lot of trouble, then. They're broken within a fortnight of making them more often than not.

I'd be more surprised if it wasn't, to be honest. These sorts tend to collect odd habits like particularly vehement moths around street lamps.

Perhaps that's something of the point. Can't quite wrap my head around why, mind.

They do, don't they? Perhaps not the metaphor that would have sprung first to my mind, but that is a rather accurate description. All those stray thoughts buzzing around creating clutter.

People like to feel better about themselves come the new year. Making promises they don't intend to keep helps.

Not to mention the mess. Probably would ruin sweaters, too, if given the chance. [Blink.] I think the metaphor ran away from me that time. Alas.

As does all the alcohol, I'm sure. [Grin.]

Oh, you're a fellow Londoner? Excellent. I must confess Soho is not an area I usually venture into, although I hear that it does have its own brand of charm.

Oh, fantastic. Where do you usually venture, if I may ask? Believe me, you've heard correctly. Although I suppose anywhere'd have it's own sort of charm.

Admittedly, you'd have to look harder to find it in some of them.
