Too many variables with too little control. A single strike could undo centuries of planning, and for what? Power? Control? Immortality?

It's funny how this place weakens the sting of death, is it not? Those thought 'subdued' as you put it walk freely once more. It is amusing to watch mortals adapt to such a notion.

Haven't you noticed a pattern though? If you placed your strongest minion in the area at the starting chamber none of this would be an issue.

You seem to have a problem with lapses in judgement, both now and in the future.

Again, when half of these caverns were created by the Sages with the express purpose of safeguarding artifacts for their so-called 'hero', there are many variables outside of my control.

That, and my minions suffer from a notable lack of intellegence. Ahanim and Zant were the only two competent ones and they lacked any kind of power.
