Okay, this whole thing started when I got an email out of nowhere asking for, well, asking for a roommate. She was transferring, and she was an old friend from growing up and how could I say no? I have a heart, after all. And everything was fine. She's a sweet girl, her side of the room is too frilly, but that's college for you.

Everything was great. Really.

Then, Marius showed up. We were going to grab lunch and sit on the quad and catch up after a summer away, but then he saw her and there could have been angels singing from the way he looked at her. And he asked her to join us for lunch.

She said yes, because I was her only friend.

Never did get to catch up with him that day...

[ This is probably that point where he's supposed to tell her that said roommate has nothing on her, that Marius is a conceited douche-canoe and does she want to do shots. ] With our lot, it seems to be the student-rights-committee before bros and hos.

Vive la paint placards and lie on the field in protest. [ grouse, grouse. ]

[she totally wants to do shots. But they aren't offered, so instead she giggles.]

So much for loyalties. She'll probably attending the next lie-in. [she could see it now, they'd be curled up on a blanket, eating the picnic lunch she'd packed. Drinking champagne while the rest of them worked to conceal their shitty beer.]
