Voicetesting even if I'm not done with his seasons yet
I'm not quite sure what exactly it is you want me to say. Hello? Well, I suppose that's as good as any.
Hello!
Now, then, what have we got here?
Hello!
Now, then, what have we got here?

Besides, if Jamie wasn't there, who would the Doctor have that would cling in quite the same way?
[And he's off, slipping a little as he heads down a rather rocky hill in search of his friends - or beasties, or whatever turns up, as it tends to do with adventures.]
Come on, Doctor! What are ye waiting for? We'll never find the others if we just stand here.
No one that's who. How sad it would be.
[ But he's coming, he's coming, though at a bit of a calmer pace. No slipping here, no sir. ]
And, if we would just stand here, they might find us instead.
It would be very sad, most definitely.
[Wonder of wonders, that actually gets him to stop - at least for now.]
Ye mean to say that if we stay put there's a chance they'll find us before we'll find them?
/pets them
Well, he didn't expect that, so he basically stumbles into Jamie. Blinks at him for a while. ]
Oh, yes. Just about as much of a chance as us finding them if we look. That is, if they had the same thought we did, which isn't a guarantee. Just a theory.
no subject
Aye, that's true. Well...I suppose we could stay here instead, but what would we do while we waited to see if they turned up? Play card games?
no subject
Card games? They only work for a limited amount of time before you either get tired of them or too frustrated to go on. No, no, now that we've already started we might as well continue.
[ Pushing at! Fairly gently, though. Go on, go on, he was just pointing out a technicality he wasn't actually saying they should stop, gosh. ]
no subject
Well, it's not as though we'd be playing them for long. With our luck something'd come crashing right through the middle of the game.
[And he's off again, picking his way through the shale-covered landscape and looking for something - anything - that looks interesting.]
Say, Doctor, what do ye think we'll find this time? Apart from rocks, that is. I think we'll not have any problems finding those.
no subject
[ It's so exciting. ]
no subject
[Unimpressed Jamie is unimpressed. Well...mostly.]
But if this alien's from outside our universe, how'd they get here? Did they have something like that emergency unit of yours?
no subject
Yes, I'd expect they have something like that. It's not impossible, especially since they are apparently very aware we're here, but we're not aware of them.
no subject
Oh, aye, I'm not surprised. Look, they're not going to cause any trouble, are they? That'd be the last thing we need around here. Those game-things are bad enough.
no subject
No, I wouldn't expect so. The one I talked to seemed quite lovely, in fact.
no subject
Lovely? Whatever did ye talk about that they gave ye that impression?
no subject
She liked my recorder.
[ You can't not be lovely if you aren't hurting anyone and likes his recorder, ok. ]
no subject
Aye, let me guess, and then ye decided to play it for her.
[Maybe he should see about trying to hide it again.]
Hey, that reminds me, Doctor. Are ye ever going to let me finish fixing those bagpipes for ye?
no subject
[ Shoulder clap! ]
no subject
Like searching around in some unknown place just to see what'll turn up?
no subject
Exactly! It's delicate work.

[Right now it seems like it's more along the lines of walking up and down hills, though, and he's about to say as much when he crests one of the said hills...only to spot what he'd thought he'd glimpsed earlier. A massive structure of some sort sprawls out before them, down the hill and in a rather large valley. From here it appears almost to catch the light and hold it, providing the illusion that it's glowing. He promptly latches on to the Doctor's arm with one hand and points with the other.]
Hey, would ye look at the size of that thing!
no subject
[ He pats Jamie's hand before he wrings his hand out of it and moves it behind Jamie's back, grabbing his arm in return to pull him with to follow the wall down the hill. ]
