I'm fairly sure the problem's a common one, if my own experience is anything to go by. Indecision, procrastination, all the rest of it; I doubt they ever helped anyone.
Thoroughly examine - that's the thing, isn't it? I suspect some of the difficulty's in deciding when enough is enough. I'd doubt you're the sort for regrets and [faintly amused] self-doubt, once whatever's done, but I know a lot of people who are.
Decisiveness combined with being thorough seems to be a rare combination of traits these days. If you know what it is that you want, it shouldn't be too hard to decide which is the correct path upon examination.
